Some anti-viruses have started blocking it. I for one cannot even see my own signature (which is hosted by imgur).

I'd highly suggest you use gyazo for submitting images and linking them to the forums.

    That, or tinypic.com is acceptable.

    Imgur patched the exploit
"Imgur has posted on its blog to say it’s patched the vulnerability. It appears it was specifically targeted at visitors of that specific subreddit who also visit 4chan and 8chan, so most people are probably fine. Imgur suggests people clear their browsing data, cookies and local storage, just to be safe."

Currently it's still blocked by some anti-viruses, so for now it'd be best to use other images so everyone can view them.

Gyazo is perfectly fine. You don't have to be a expert in PCs to be able to tell that one.

It's not a virus per se, but I for one don't like giving programs total access to my files and my computer in general. It just feels like an invasion of my privacy.

Slightly true. Many ip loggers come in the form of gyazos.

Your dad is an idiot. Being an expert in 'PCs' doesn't mean he's an expert in coding.

Edit: Gyazo is 5 years old and is under a GNU GPL, which may not be much on paper, the company is legit and if it was Malware it would be taken down or not used. Gyazo is perfectly safe, as is Imgur.

Edit2: Didn't realize this thread was closed. Whatever, what a waste of a perfectly good discussion.
