Resolved Problems with mob spawning?

Does anyone know what is going on with mob spawning on Skyblock? I put the question in chat and another player said they had been having problems for a week. I've been getting passive mobs spawning, but not hostile. I had a helper come an look over my mob grinder, but they couldn't find anything wrong.

 

You can find mobs and animals at mob grinders, like /visit IllegalFries, and even more at /warp animal

 

Thank you PCcoolguy100, I know about the spawners, my favorites are Haberson's and GirlScout7340's. The issue seems to be fixed for the moment.

 

Well, it happened again. About 6:45 pm EST. My grinder was working, then it wasn't. There was a few people on chat complaining about the same thing.

 

Probably the mod cap was reached, thus no more mobs can spawn. Passive and hostile have their own caps.

 

A new mob limit was added to Economy back in March, this is likely the reason this is happening as mentioned.

Some other things to note:

• Darkness of area for hostile spawning
• Grass & light for spawners
• Diameter area you are within for spawners to operate
• Blocks used for hostile, sometimes they don’t like slabs. Slabs also let in light.
