Important items that can be locked.
Some items would have you place a sign next to the item and type [private]
These include:
*Doors
*Gates
*Chests
*Furnaces
*Dispensers
*Enchantment tables
*Trapdoors
*Mobspawners- place a trapdoor on the spawner and lock the trapdoor this will also lock the spawner
*Jukebox

Gates* Not fences. And you can protect any solid block that allows you to place another block on it using the trapdoor. Sponge, diamond, etc. If it holds a sign and a trap door, it's lockable.

I BELIEVE you can remove the door too. The sign still says [Private] NAME but I haven't tested to see if it becomes breakable yet.

The one noteworthy thing I can think of that I haven't found a way to lockette yet is Ender Chests. Why protect them? Because they cost 8 obsidian and 1 enderpearl.

 

I want to try that with my diamond block lol with the door method. If you are online later when i'm on want to test it out? Oh wait forgot you're a mod it won't work

Can you not do the trap door method, possibly by tricking a trapdoor onto the chest?
I think I have an idea that could work, I'll try it tonight.

 

Never know you could protect spawners. This will come in handy.

 

Mob spawner protection does work, its just a block.
Practice on a normal block with trapdoor and sign, and test it with another player to prove it to yourself.
You cannot pick up a pig spawner, even with a silk touch pickaxe. So don't test it on the spawner itself, lol.

 

Of course, test it on your friends spawner!

 

Is it possible to lockette a chest with a couple of your friends?

 

Yes. /lockette 3 name
/lockette 4 name

Is there a way to lock a chest to 4 people cause you can have 4 people on your island

 

Yeah, just place another sign on it and change the second line to the fourth person's name.

 

If you have a door and you let it open all the time you can put [Timer:1] on it for example..

 

With LWC plugin that has /cprivate, I privatise my signs and then break them by putting sand under them and letting the sand fall. The privatise sign isnt there but the protection still is. I use this trick to make my buildings ungriefable. :3

 

I'm kind of confused about privating a chest for more than one person. No matter what I do/type on the sign it always says either
[Private] or [More Users]

How do I fix it?

 

You can hold Shift while you place a Sign and put it anywhere now...
Shift+Right Click while holding a Sign to put it on an Enchantment Table for example.
Even directly on Gates and Doors now too.

 

Gates and Doors you never needed to hold shift... Just right click with a sign on the bottom part.
