I had some ideas that I would like to tell you so you can think about them. My main idea is to have a Server Hub that you can log onto and go to the .Net and .Org servers from. To add onto this idea, I thought that since the two servers are always full, to have a sort of waiting line typed thing on the hub. This waiting line thing would consist of many rooms with pressure plates on the floor. the room could be 3x3x2 or 2x2x2. Stepping on the pressure plate would send you to the server that the room that you went into would send you. Each "waiting-line room" would be for 1 person at a time. If the server is full, when you go into the room, it would notify you. It would then enter you into a waiting list that consists of the other waiting rooms. When your the first person on this list, you will automatically go onto the filled server once a spot opens up. This could be done through the use of a plugin or command block. I personally have never seen a plugin like this though. If you need any clarification about what i mean for anything that I have said, feel free to send me a message on the forums. Thanks for considering my idea.
but having a hub introduces you to the other server if you only know about one of the two servers. There can also be a help place there where players can go to teach other players new stuff and techniques and whatnot
Although that is a good idea the cons outweigh the pros in this suggestion. The most practical way to join a server is to click the join button. There's no reason to complicate this process. The help and whatever that you're suggesting can be placed in each server individually.
But a lot of the times, the servers are full. And its annoying to have to keep trying to relog if you really wanna go on the server.
You could try using nodus auto login feature. Don't ask me how it works because I don't know but i'm sure some (or most) people here might know how it's done.
Nodus autojoin works like this: starts a scheduled task to wait five seconds, attempts to join the server, if it can't, it repeats until you join successfully.
Idk about this idea, because of... 1.) Idk how many players would be backed up if we actually tested this 2.) This sort of defeat the purpose of the donors being able to bypass the player limit
The donors could have a special area on here and would still be able to directly log onto the servers.
As Noobkilla said, having a hub just complicates the process of just joining the server. Donors have the power to bypass the player limit and directly join. Is there really a reason to complicate a simple process by bringing in a hub? I do like the idea of having a "waitlist" though. I know that some people don't know about either .org or .net, but this forum is usually when the two kind of becomes one. If they want to know about the other server, they should check out the forums.
