Political Debate Thread

Discussing politics itself is not written as against the rules, but it's generally discouraged because it often leads to other rules being broken: disrespect, flaming, racism, swearing--it gets people riled up.
This thread has seen enough flame and pointless disagreement in the time its been open, and I don't imagine that removing and warning the flamers will prevent the discussion continuing in its toxicity if the thread is left open. For this reason, I'm locking the thread.

Please, future thread-makers: use your common sense when broaching a difficult topic. This forum is supposed to be friendly to people of all cultures and ages. Not bringing up topics that make Skyblock unwelcoming to anyone should be common sense.

Sorry for closing up the discussion. Maybe we can make a 'best cookie/biscuit recipe debate' or something instead. Sunshine and rainbows?
