So i was playing and I got banned for 30 minutes. The only thing I can think of that I did was make a cobble stone generator with a redstone clock on it so that a piston would push the cobble out and it wouldn't burn. I don't recall a rule like that, maybe because I have't checked the rules recently. Can someone tell me if thats a rule or not.
I wasn't personally lagging nor was there block lag, maybe because I was on a ghostblock. The machine sometimes creates those. Hopefully I won't get perm banned for this...
I've gotten a 30 minute ban before, I was placing blocks in the air when it was lagging and it was detecting me as lagging. Were you placing blocks in the air?
30 minute bans are usually console bans. The console bans if it thinks you are: 1) Glitching with blocks excessively 2) Fly hacking 3) SPAMming etc if thats the case, you can minimise this by: 1) Not moving around quickly or breaking blocks while there is lag 2) Reducing sources of lag (including redstone contraptions) 3) Not spamming chat
I would just like to point out that if console thinks lagging is fly hacking, something is totally messed up ;~;
Well, when you lag, your position may not be properly recorded with the server as you move, so normally your client would be reporting x=1, x=2 x=3 etc etc on a regular basis. However, if you lag, your client would report the same, except the server may only receive some of it, Eg. x=1, x=5, and think, woah, this player is travelling too quickly and think you're fly hacking.
