just wondering what people think is more profitable and or effective, particularly for a starter island i have mostly manual crop and wood farms and i have my own item shop on my island but i'm wondering if it'd be better to sell items (or certain items) through /sell or crop hopper farms rather than selling them manually through a shop? if this is really obvious then ignore me i don't know much about this side of sb economy tbh
Sell at /warp shop for more money Once you are comfortable with the size of your manual farm you can start putting money into a crop hopper farm. Continue to manually farm until you dont have to anymore. Thats what I would do if I had to start again.
If it is profit you are after, I suggest crop hopper farms. The type of farm you build is dependent on how much time you plan on being at your island, either playing or AFK. Wheat farms are the most profitable in the long run, but you will have to be active at your farm 24/7 for over 200 days just to pay back what you spent on it. If you don't plan on AFKing that much you probably want a mix of melon and pumpkin (melkin). Less profitable but it uses 1/4 the dirt of a wheat farm which is the main expense. It's also half the size so much less effort to build it. Additionally, Dynamic pricing is massively broken. Currently, as is most of the time, Wheat is marked down a massive 32.65% while melons and pumpkins are not marked down at all. After tax, wheat is selling for less than 3 cents more than melkin which is pretty sad for a farm that costs 184 million more. Considering this, It would actually take you much longer to pay off a wheat farm. Either way, I would start out by using other players AFK spots until your farm is built up enough to earn you more than those AFK spots. If you are after money quick, I have a profit shop that will make you about $1000 per minute buy on selling the goods I sell, at /warp shop. When it is full, there is over $37,000 worth of profit to be made in about half an hour. I refill that most days.
thanks for the advice man i defo wanna get crop hopper farms at some point but the cost is massively putting me off rn so i'll probably stick with my current system and build a pumpkin farm to go w/ my melon one + afking for cash
Use 2 accounts sitting at other people's pre-built afk $ farms, before you have your own built. definitely just start with melkin. Wheat isnt worth unless you just have the extra cash. Drogo is the Goat
