Hi, Pingu. You were banned for spamming the chat and creating a flame war. A few players asked you to stop, and you didn't. Why did you choose to do this in global chat, when you could have taken it to private message?

I feel I should have taken it to private message, but I realized I couldn't /msg both users at the same time. This was the main reason I didn't use /msg, the inability to message multiple people at once. However that's no excuse. The three of us were just messing around and I understand now that a user in the community found it very unkind. I wasn't attempting to flame the chat, as roasting battles can be fun(unfortunately we can take it too far sometimes, I admit). Joking around can be seen as being purposely harsh and possibly bullying if people around you have no idea. I honestly don't blame the user that reported me, I'm happy that they have because they've brought up the mistakes I made. I honestly wasn't aware that I was starting a flame war, but unfortunately things like this happen when you say the wrong thing. It is possible that some things that Abdul, DietPepsi and I said offended players, and I'm accepting full responsibility for that, now that the reasoning of the punishment is a lot more clear. Thanks to Hunter for the report which brought my attention to the situation and thanks to Natalia for making it more clear.

Feel free to deny this or whatever, given my history. I've given an explanation so it's hopefully more clear and that we can proceed with this quicker. I may have reasons for something that seem weird, but I do not use them as an excuse. I accept the consequences and take responsibility for my actions.

Hello, I've made it clear that my history isn't the best, but I'm just gonna answer this the best I can.

When a user makes a mistake, they generally avoid doing the same mistake again. I've made many mistakes, so I can't really say that I'm exactly an angel. I don't 'promise' or anything as hardly anyone keeps those these days, but I can assure you that I'm taking responsibility for my actions and I'm willing to assertively appeal my case.
As for "How do I know you won't do it again?", I'm going to be honest here. You can't know for sure. PM exists for a reason, I will use it if I want to joke around if it might offend somebody. I should have used it, or refrained from typing it.

Staff Disrespect - Staff disrespect falls under disrespecting and bullying staff members based on their ability as a staff member.
Spam - Spamming is just posting lots of messages repetitively without any purpose except to be annoying.
Nickname Abuse - Nickname abuse is where you change your nickname to impersonate another member or changing it to inappropriate names.
Advertising - Advertising falls under sending links to other servers that draw people away from the Skyblock community, or malicious websites.
Threats - What falls under as a threat? Threatening to DOX or DDoS someone, threatening to hack their account. What can also be a serious threat are death threats, rape threats and swat threats.
Releasing Private Information - The punishments are longer depending on how personal/important the information is. It can be real life photos, real first names, phone numbers, ips, etc etc.
Evasion of Punishments - Going on another account so that you can go on the server when your main is banned or muted, or abusing a bug that lets you bypass them.
Scamming - Not keeping your end of the deal in trades.
Griefing - Destroying and stealing possessions that belong to another user without their permission.
Inappropriate Minecraft Account Characteristics - For example, your skin containing exposed genitalia, or your username being inappropriate and having rude words in it.

 

I'll lower your ban down to three days. If I see you in this section again, your ban will not be reduced.
