Minecraft updated to 1.7.6, that's what's causing the outdated error.

When you open your minecraft launcher, click on "Edit Profile" and change the version back to 1.7.5, that should allow you to access the server again.

 

Like Keeper said, you've got the 'Use latest version' setting, change it to 1.7.4/5 and then it will be fine.

Server-sided name protocol. They are about to let users change they displayed Minecraft name. Nothing was added in-game.

They did not turn it on yet to change usernames on the Minecraft website.
