I recently got a new island and found my neighbor has inappropriate structures all over his island, clearly visible from my island. See the attached image. I would argue that they show a lack of respect for me and therefore break rule number 5 of the skyblock rules. Additionally I don't see it being any different to an inappropriate skin which is rule number 13 of the skyblock rules. I believe this server claims to be G-rated, and if that is the case then this sort of structures should not be allowed. I'd like to hear the thoughts of the skyblock community in regard to this.
bkleinman1 Is it me or does something about this look familiar. I'm sorry, but like Moo said in your report, we can't break others islands.
Personally, I would say that this should be a no-no. It should be a warning, then ban with appeal for second offenses.
Fair enough, but surely you would ask the owner to remove them if they were breaking server rules, which I personally think they are. but that's just my opinion. Neither Moo or yourself have mentioned whether these structures break the server rules and I'd like to hear what you have to say on that. If the server owners allow them to stay then it certainly sinks any claims that this server is G-rated. I get the feeling from your message that you know who's island this is.
Nah, I'm pretty sure that bkleinman either has: a) A similar skin to the zombie b) A similar island with profane statues.
Thanks Michal, It seems that there are several islands that are known to be like this. The G-rating is taking a beating.
Okay, this is how it is. An island is for ones creative mind to go wild. He isn't teleporting anyone to his island, you discovered it by flying. Moderators can not go and break things on another's island. Yet having something like that may be inappropriate, if we took the time to make sure each island was legal... The mods wouldn't have time for it. Also pointing this out there are 1.3million player files. Imagine if they had to go around worrying about things like that on each island.
With peoples islands there are no set rules. The only rules for islands is that they are within the size limits. What people make on their own island is their own choice and we cannot restrict that. G-rated is reserved for server chat where everyone is able to see. The whole server isnt going to be seeing that statue, its just unfortunate you have. The island owners have no intention of teleporting people to the island, there is no issue. The island is following server rules therefore we do not need to ask them to take them down.

Rule 15: Use Common Sense Offence Level: Variable There are a number of things that fall under this rule. If it's illegal in the real world (country/international laws, breaking Mojang ToS/EULA) then it falls under this rule. I doubt I could not legally construct this in my front yard. so.....
Your skyblock is next to it, yes but you are close enough to it to the point where you would have had to build over to it, from your island. You are literally like 8 blocks away from the boundary of his island
my island is built out 49 blocks from bedrock. I'm guessing his is too. Neighbouring islands are that close.
Doesnt matter. We over kill animals, keep them in tiny farms, torture them and that all isnt exactly legal in the real world, but its part of the game, much as placing blocks is and made into anything we decide to design. Keep on track, the argument is whether the structures are breaking the server rules and going by the core rules, no it is not breaking the rules at all. Going by the in depth rules, it is not illegal either. The common sense rule is not applicable, and it is one of the worst rules. Remember the in depth rules were made by a player. If you have any more issues take it up with cyp and the island owners.
