Honestly who even finds out about CoinFlipAI via /ads… the name is misleading and that’s that.

Still yet to be shown a coin with a 45/55 probability split. It simply misleads the majority of players.

It’s like plastered all over the bot that the chance to win is 45%. People CHOOSE to play after seeing these odds, and if you just blindly start paying coinflipai without any research into how to actually play(where you will find the odds) then it’s the same as paying any other random user, you shouldn’t actually expect anything in return

What if I named my account FreeDPHeadAI? Would you message it expecting a drop party head in return and not be happy when nothing is recieved?

Agreed many chose to play without doing further research but still feel some sort of warning can be coded into this script telling players they have only a 45% chance of winning and it is not a true coin flip.

Yes I would all AI’s are truthful!

    1/(0.55^14)
    = a 1 in 4314 chance
Given that the bot has been used more than 30,000 times, we can expect to have seen a person who has lost 17 times in a row.

Given Noobcrew ’s official stance is that it’s not condoned, all gambling should cease.

30,000 is not a huge amount. It’s possible but I certainly wouldn’t say it’s ‘expected’.

Edit: I initially thought you had miss typed 17 but I now see that you worked out that 1/(0.55^17)= a 1 in 25932 chance. But what this actually means is that you can expect it to occur once if you toss 17 coins in a row 25932 times. So a total of 17 x 25932, or 440,884 tosses.
Which is somewhat more than 30,000.

I do agree on a lot of what has been mentioned by the opposing side. There is a fine line on what is considered "gambling" or not and I don't think this fits the category of actually being acceptable.

Along with this, we can't use any CoinFlip based plugins as it is against the EULA, so this is similar in that aspect. The main concern with this type of plugin or bot is that players can ultimately bet and lose their entire balances which we should never encourage and it is definitely a deterrent for new players. Even with potential limitations it is just something that we shouldn't allow on the server as we can not control or monitor these types of bots either.

This will be added as a rule in which we will not allow bots to provide automated options of wagering Skybucks. For now this sort of thing will just be a ban on the account if we see it going on. The ban can be lifted if the owner proceeds to turn the account back into a regular alt. We will only take further action when necessary if for example the owner of such bot account(s) abuse this or doesn't abide to the new rule.

I appreciate the discussion, I know there are opinions on both sides but I do think it is the right choice to not condone this. If we can't actually provide this as a plugin which would technically be considered safer, then we shouldn't allow bots owned by players to do the same. Locking this thread now, thank you.
