No mobs spawning on island

    Hi, I've enabled mobs in my /settings, built a mob grinder, and even a big dark platform but have only have like 3 zombies spawn and that's all. How do I fix this?

    I will move this to help so other players may give some suggestions. Also I'd suggest taking screenshots of your build so people can see if there are any issues.

    Are you standing close enough to the platform? Also, are there other places where mobs can spawn?

    What block have you built the floor of your mob grinder out of? Have you used any half slabs?

    Mobs can only spawn 24-128 blocks away from you. Maybe you're too close?
