So today I have been scammed TWICE in the span of 2 hours and if that isn't enough, 2 different mods (ipod and krissy) have told me that there are no logs to the chests at all that I can prove my point to. I know people might think I'm just trying to scam by saying I got scammed but I swear on my mothers life I am not lying. I am just extremely disappointed that the mods couldn't help me even though I followed the right procedures (chest trade). krissy suggested that I take a screenshot of every trade I make but I don't see why I have to do that when the mods are there to help people like me. Look, no hate to the mods, but the logging system must be all stuffed up or something because for the first scam the log said that the chest hasn't been used for 8 hours and for the second scam there was nothing that showed my trade. mods please voice your opinions in this! thanks
Impossible. I don't know the exact time but I think log blocks deletes only data that are over 3 days old
I would love to have helped, but the fact is that without those logs its quite hard to investigate. I did suggest to take screens when you trade. this is to prevent things like this from happening, where the logs stuff up, it we have some evidence we can act upon. This is why we urge people to take screens. its not to be a hassle o anything but its a good practice.
i said to you who took the items and you could have talked to him. if he took the 38 grass he must have put it in a chest of his own at his island. there should be logs of that so isnt that enough proof? i mean we are talking 38 grass here its not some little god stick or whatever. i just thought it could have been handled better but eh.
If you're worried about trades always get a mod to spec it, or trade half and half. And always take screenshots of the offer and the trade itself (one when you put the item in and one when you take their item out). If you're worried at all, don't trade, or buy it from high level donors.
are you serious? why the hell would i ask a mod to spec every trade i make? they are always busy doing other things , im not gonna ask them to come around every time i trade...
Not every trade, but the important ones. From what you said you lost over a diamond worth of grass, which seemed to be a lot for you, which is why I said get a mod to spec future trades
