Introduction
My in-game name is Nikoshka, sometimes I have my nick as Niko or something like that. I do like playing around with my nickname and changing it every once in a while but when I am in my "helping out in chat mode" then I make sure I have my nick as Nikoshka.

I have been playing Minecraft for around 6-8 months now and I discovered .NET 4-5 months ago and you may not think it is much but ever since I joined this server I have developed a passion for this server and I have loved it ever since. 4-5 months may not be long enough for me to become a mod but I disagree, as it does not take 4-5 months to learn the rules of the game and understand it fully. It does not take 4-5 months to know what a moderator does on this server. I think I have learned everything I need to know about the server and I think I would become a good mod.

What time zone are you in?
I am in the GMT time zone (Greenwich Mean Time).

What languages do you speak?
I speak English, some Russian (At home I talk in Russian), and at the current moment I am learning French and Latin.

Have I ever been banned on the server?
Yes I have been temporarily-banned on this server, two or three times, for either spamming in chat or caps locking (I actually don't remember). This was a long time ago and it was I was a bit new to the server then as I didn't understand the rules of the game and I was confused about the rules.

I also was banned by console for "fly hacking" and I wasn't. I had probably logged off on a half slab accidentally.

Also I think I should add this but I did create an amnesty thread about me killing players when they were being annoying or where afk on my island. This was some time ago and I really have learned my lesson.

Why should YOU be a moderator?
I think I should be a moderator because:
- When I was online and no other mods were online it was MAYHEM. People were fake messaging, spamming and being jerks. As a moderator I could deal with these situations and be online to solve them
- I know a lot of moderators and many have helped me before and they are amazing and I want to thanks them for that. As a moderator I will help other people like mods have helped me and I will never reject a request for help.
- I wan to be a great staff member and a role model to people who have never played on this server before. As a moderator I will show other people who are new to the server what to do and I will help them and answer their questions.
- This is the server which I spend 99.9% of the time I get to play minecraft on so I am a dedicated player to this server and it is my favorite server. As a moderator I will play on this server very often and I will spend most of my time on this server helping other people.

Characteristics of a moderator:

Friendly: I talk to people as if I am their friends. When I talk I am very polite, nice and clear and I try and know the person who is under that mask they are wearing and I co-operate with them as nice friendly as possible. I enjoy reading the smiles people put their messages when they are messaging me! It makes me really happy and the more of a reason why I would like to become a mod.

Helpful: I have helped many people who are new to the server and don't understand the server very well. I also answer questions in chat and tell people off when they are spamming, caps-locking or trying to do illegal trades in chat. In the forums I answer many threads which ask questions and need help. Honest: I am a very honest person and I am someone who always tells the truth. I never lie to people unless it is necessary to.

Fast-typer: I am a fast typer who always responds to messages quick. I usually am the first to answer a message in chat and I answer it with relevant, helpful information which the player understands.

Non-Biased: I am a very non-biased person and I do not favor my friends over anyone else. Friends of mine have the same chance of getting banned as a person who I have never even seen before. As a mod I would try to be honest and evaluate the situation to see who is wrong, and if the person who is wrong happens to be my friend then he better not do it next time.

Forgiving: I can be a forgiving person who knows when is the right time to be forgiving. When I will be looking at ban appeals and judging them I will consider the persons defense and I will evaluate whether I should accept his appeal or not.

Trustworthy: I am a very trustworthy person who is trusted often to do certain jobs.

Involved: In chat I am very involved and as I said I always answer questions and tell people off. I know what is going on in chat and I often talk in chat to other people. People are now starting to recognize me from my activity in chat and some people often say "bye" or "cya" when I need to go.

Smart: I am quite a smart person who achieves A/B grades at my school. I can remember things easily such as commands and I always evaluate situations smartly.

Strict: I can be a strict person and if needed I will deal with people who are rule breakers sternly. I know when I should be strict or not and I know how I should react to people.

Leadership: I can be a very good leader and tell people how to do things correctly and informing other people of the rules/events of Skyblock. I co-operate with my team and lead them to whatever goal they want to achieve. As a moderator I will help people and lead them to doing the correct actions instead of doing the incorrect.

A good team member / Solo worker: I can work greatly as a team member and also as a solo worker. I can co-operate with others and help people with their daily skyblock problems. As a moderator I will work among the staff team and also I will work among other players in skyblock. I will also understand when I need to work individually and I will work swiftly and well.

How long can you be active on the server?
I cannot be active for too long every day as I have a busy schedule but I estimate that I could fit in around this much every day:

School Weeks:

Monday: 2 hours - 3 hours 30 minutes
Tuesday: 2 hours - 3 hours 30 minutes
Wednesday: 2 hours - 3 hours 30 minutes
Thursday: 2 hours - 3 hours 30 minutes
Friday: 2 hours - 3 hours 30 minutes
Saturday: 4 hours - 12 hours
Sunday: 4 hours - 12 hours

Holidays:

4 hours- 8 hours every day

NOTE: I cannot be online If I am actually away on holiday. Also this is not a fixed time. It may vary.

- Caps (Half the sentence or more in caps)
- Sexual references (Someone saying something inappropriate in chat)
- Swearing/Not G-rated language
- Inappropriate comments/rudeness (Comments that are mean and should not be said)
- Insulting (Insulting other people)

What I mute for:
- Spamming
- Caps
- Sexual references
- Swearing/Not G-rated language
- Inappropriate comments/rudeness
- Insulting

What I temp-ban for:
- Minor looting
- Animal Killing
- Scamming
- Lying
- Killing other players
- Major spamming (Spamming again once received warning)
- Caps (Using caps again once received warning)
- Swearing/Not G-rated language (Swearing again once received warning)
- Major insulting
- Sexual skins/references

What I ban for:
- Advertising (Advertising a server)
- Major Looting
- Consistent insulting/rudeness/sexual references
- Consistent killing other players
- Consistent scamming
- Island Farming
- Fly hacking
- Illegal trading

Commands I need to know as a moderator:
/kick [playername] [reason] This kicks a person off the server. The player then can re-join.
/mute [playername] [number to show duration] [m/h/d/y] This mutes a player so they can't /msg or talk in chat but they can /r
/tempban [playername] [number to show duration] [m/h/d/y] [reason. Appeal at Skyblock Forums Nikoshka] This bans a player temporarily.
/ban [playername] [reason. Appeal at Skyblock Forums Nikoshka] This bans a player permanently.
/tpa [playername] This sends a request to a player to teleport to them.
/tpahere [playername] This sends a request to a player to teleport them to you.
/invsee [playername] This allows a moderator to see a certain player's inventory and what items there are in it.
/endersee [playername] This allows a moderator to see a certain player's enderchest and what items there are in it.
/banip [ip] This bans a certain ip.
/tppos [x] [y] [z] This teleports you to the x,y,z co-ordinates you enter.
/unban [playername] (Only for full mods) This unbans a certain player
/unmute [playername]
/sc [message] This command is used to talk in staff chat
/tpo [playername] Nikoshka This teleports me to a certain player
/tpohere [playername] Nikoshka This teleports a certain player to me
/co i This logs the block that hit
/rollback This rollbacks the co-ordinates that I put in

I have also gone around and looked in different sections of the forums and saw what moderators do when locking threads, dealing with ban appeals, giving out warnings/mutes/temp-bans/bans, dealing with flame wars and much more!





Thanks for taking a look at my application! I would be GRATEFUL for constructive criticism on how to improve my mod app and my helpfulness in game/forums and I will take them all into consideration and try and imply them into my game-play and into my app.

Thanks fungamer333 I have seen you a couple of times online. Also I will try fix all of this sometime tomorrow. About the ban appeal, I read appeals in the archive quite a lot. Also about my age. I see people many times in apps that they say "too young". At my school people regard me as snitch when I see that they are being bad to other people and I hate to see that. Yes, I was banned for either spamming or caps. I really do appreciate this help and I will apply it in my app. I hope I can catch you online sometime

 

I'll give you full support! I recall seeing you in game plenty (same timezones too) and we need more British mods right now the only thin I would change is to try squeeze 2 hours at least into one of the weekdays

Same here, I'm new but I think your activity on forums and the server is fine! I see you around on both a lot which tells me you are somewhat active on both. But I would suggest following fun's advice!

I have only recently started really messaging on the forums. I did have an account for around a month or so but that was only for reports. Now I am becoming more active on the forums, and I am replying and looking at more threads and I have seen many times when you are offline including now So yeah I am working on the forums.
