Is nickname abuse still bannable? I remember the rule being only one person could use a nickname at a time? E.g. You would be banned if you had your nickname as "Geo" or "Drogo" as an example as they are occupied names and well known players. ??????????? Yes I have viewed the rule page.
When moderating nicknames it can vary, context would play a major influence. If a player nicks as another player to try frame them for example, then it's abuse If a player has a rude nickname then it would be dealt with But say multiple players nicknamed similarly it shouldn't be an issue majority of the time (there may be exceptions, as I said, context) With such a large community its likely people have similar/the same names, for example I'm frez but there's also another frez, I wouldn't see much issue with that Regarding nicknames in general, you're not likely to be banned for it, it would take something extreme to be banned from nicknames. However it has happened where people who have continually abused nickname perms have had them taken off of them I hope this brings some clarity?
We all were pink crew's lmao that was so funny seeing tab. About your nickname post Queen, players in the past set their names to be same as mine to make it look like I was saying things that I wasnt. So I do understand the reasoning. Maybe not a ban, but it's definitely advisable to not copy someone else's name exactly. And it just comes down to being a decent person end of the day
3 things to consider; context, consent, and intent. all three should be in good faith otherwise id see an issue with it hence a case to case basis for this. but as always be friendly and ask before you do something thats in a gray area to avoid issues
