Again, requires another plugin, which would have to be made from scratch as I don't think there's one out there that forces you to acquire an item to perform a command. Not to mention, villager traders can't be made to give items for free so they'd have to trade something. Also, all items in inventory are deleted when you make a new island/join a coop, so the book would disappear as soon as they did the command.

 

In regards to the kit idea on join, that is possible. The plugin that handled kits, essentials does support books in kits as well as having a kit on join. You would have to convince noobcrew or cyp to do this though.

 

Last we tried it gave them an empty book titled "Written book" by " " in the kit. If there is a way, it was deemed unnecessary or it was glossed over, as when this idea originally came around, we needed a plugin called booktext or something like that. You are correct though, it supports kits on join, but once again the book would then disappear as soon as they started or joined an island. If it was made a reusable kit (say once few days or week), then it might be better.
