I decided to try skyblock after watching a play through on YouTube. I just downloaded minecraft 1.8.8 (for linux) and skyblocks 2.1. I unpacked it and copied it to the save folder successfully. When I start the game, however, everything is shaking (it is sort of stuttering) and I can't move. A newly created, normal game worked fine. Any ideas about how to fix it?

 

I would guess this is a problem with lag. It's not an issue with the map itself.
Try reinstalling, or /gamemode c and break the block you are standing on, then fly upward a bit.
