Recently i had been helping new players and noticed there islands were UN-appealing (no offence). This urge me to being forward some Do's and Dont's on how to make a appealing island.

Why should my island be appealing?
People will enjoy being around your island. If you have a banner shop but its just a box people will look for other places to go as they feel more trust worthy. It is easier to start a business in a tidy place and people will grow to trust you. You can also get around easier and it may bring forward possible coop members along the way.

What's wrong with a box house?
Simply making your house a box will give people reason to believe you don't care much for your work. Even if you put effort into it, others may not see that and think you are lazy. A box house is unrealistic and plain. People want to see excitement and creativity in a island.

Do's

Make it a island
Its skyblock. You are on a floating island, so why not make it look that way. Doing this requires a lot of grass as you cannot buy or trade dirt. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that doesn't have a efficient source of grass.

Make it clear where things are
If people come looking for a shop at your island and have no direction this will put them off, They may even think your lying. Making a clear path with wool or other distinctive blocks can do so much for you.

Be friendly
This one is crucial. If you are swearing and being rude in chat people will not want to visit you. Being patient, kind, and helpful will help you, so think before you chat. Being on the forums and discord often will not only increase your reputation but can even up your chances of getting mod.

Dont's

Don't use wood and cobble
This is a error a lot of people make but only using these two resources is cheep and tacky. Blocks like stone-bricks logs and grass will make your island look better.

Don't leave your stuff everywhere
Its easy to have your stuff in plain view (Chest's, Crafting Table's, Furnaces etc.) But having them under your island or in a house can make you look organised. As i builder looking organised is crucial to me as it makes people want to hire me.

Inside Jokes
Inside jokes are great, for you. But people visiting your island may be confused and if there are sign literally everywhere people may feel left out. Personally i hate this as i don't want to ask but really want to know.

Well there are some tips that are very, very subjective here. Your effort is appreciable, but Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. However, I side with your subjectiveness if the Islands you had in mind when writing those cobble heaps.
