I noticed mobs don't spawn naturally which for a survival based game is kinda bad. I know there are spawners but those take away a bit of the survival aspect.
I don't think this is a good idea. For example, when I first joined Skyblock, it was night time when I began. If mob spawning was enabled, you may be killed because at the start you have nothing, no cobble to make a sword or everything.
That sounds super complicated to code. Spawning mobs, but only for certain players? eesh. Also, this would kinda ruin the purpose of spawners a little, someone could turn an entire island into a mob farm without needing a single spawner. Anyway, I think /warp mob and /warp animal allow people to kill the desired mobs. So, overall, a bit unecessary.
I say BOTH support and no support. support because it makes the game more like survival and makes your game experience more interestng. No support because what 52Phenomenon said, if a new player starts out at night (which is likely) then he or she will get killed pretty easily. I think after a couple of days yes that could work.
Spawners were introduced for us to buy for a reason. If you want to kill mobs, go to /warp mob. c: No-Support for reasons above.
Spawners wouldn't be useless, why? Well spawners are there so you can have a specific mob spawning, however if htey naturally spawn you can get random mobs. Neutral.
Well, for one thing, spawners wouldn't be exactly useless. I mean, natural generation only works for mobs that are "whitelisted" for that specific biome, right? Magma cubes, zombie pigmen, etc. would still need to be spawned with either a spawn egg or spawner, and besides, do spawn eggs bring down the worth of spawners in any way? I see spawners as "controlled natural mob spawning" in a way. And another thing, on another skyblock server that I've been in, it looked like the more monsters spawned the bigger my island was. All except passive mobs, for some reason. Maybe we could implement that? To sum it up, neutral.
