So back in July I planted a watermelon and it hasn't grown..?
I replanted it and tried different ways to plant it but it won't grow and now I have no food and I starve to death every 5 mins

 

Have you placed a dirt next to it? If so, please post screenies so we can figure out what is wrong.

I think it is because you made your dirt next to it "hoed"(I don't know the official term .-.), try destroying the dirt and replacing it regularly.

 

Back in July? o.o Are you talking about irl? Because I'm pretty sure they don't grow in the winter (Well, it's winter for me now. Idk where you live lolo), and if you weren't taking care of it well during those warm months, well it might've died then too. Note: I'm not a gardener, so your best chance is to not take my gardening advice lol

If not... some more information would be nice, such as:

What server? What's the setup of the farm like?

Here's a bit of a guide:



The soil must be fertile, so there has to be a water source near. The melon needs another block to sit on, as seen above, the dirt is used us an extra block for the melons to grow.

If all of that is followed, and it still won't grow, then I don't know. A picture of your farm would be helpful

You left-clicked it with your hoe so it became sodded and thus forth it can't grow, break your dirt and replace it.
