Theoretically speaking it is .99 but for keeping as simple as possible, Mathematicians like to keep things simple so they round that sucker up.
No you don't have to round it. As I proved many times with my math such as the 1/3 way or the sequence way I did it that 0.999... has the same value as 1 meaning 1=0.999 xd

@Tristannlynos Let's look at the definition of a number, in a knowledgeable sense. For a number to be a number, there has to be two numbers between it (for example, 1 is between 0 and 2. This makes 1 a number). Can you find a number between 0.99 repeating and 1? There isn't one. This makes them the same number in a sense because of the definition of a number; nothing is between them. The math has proved they are the same number, I don't know how else to explain it.
