Skytitans must watch Donor400's and wish they could upgrade to it. The perms are quite exciting and the kits are nice.
I propose a rank that is between Skytitan and Donor400 which is available for Skytitans only to upgrade to. This rank lasts for a month and can be renewed (much like forums premium).

This idea also fixes the problem with adding perks to Donor400. If the perks can be provided in some way to skytitans then Donor400's could have it also. Keeping both ranks fairly content.

Why only per month? The reason this rank cannot be permanent is it is almost like full donor400. But this rank can allow donor400's to gain more perks as they can be added to the new monthly rank also.
Having subscription based ranks allow the rank to be available to more skytitans, but also encourages more donations past skytitan and benefits the overall server in helping its running costs and for upgrades to keep it running longer.

For the idea to be balanced here is the details i'd love to see:

- The price to be fair. No less than $10 a month but nothing over $30 a month.
- New perks that can also be added to donor400 as well (special disguises etc)
- Possible names: SkyOverlord, SkyElite, Highroller (org throwbacks)
- No Elytra kit (duh)
- Prefix resets when ranked down
- possible kit adjustments (just kit spawner and skytitan kit rather than wood/wool/iron)
- remove /tptoggle and /speed as these do not reset once ranked down, replace with a cooler perk such as /v like mineverse (cannot be hidden from staff)*

There are probably more ideas people can think of that will make the rank worth it and not too overpowered, while not losing all of the cool perks.

So in short I believe that having a new rank that is only temporary is a good way to make skytitans happy because they can get a taste of donor400, while allowing donor400's to get better perks too (there aren't a lot of active donor400's anyway but that is probably due in part to being nerfed harshly).
The idea is possible as it is implemented on other servers. It benefits the server and community alike.

The idea is similar to other servers. You pay for 30 days and once it ends you have to renew it manually. If parents are going to give their children access to their bank accounts it is not the servers responsibility. It is no different to buying items from the store. I mean my "stupid idea" is not really different to other servers with the same "stupid idea".

What does this have to do with my suggestion though?

Last time I checked I just wrote a suggestion, not exactly trying hard.

Because i'll make a suggestion I came up with overnight on the forums that you don't agree with?

How you feel about my promotion doesn't have any relevance to the suggestion. Writing suggestions is fun and I enjoy thinking of them so I don't see any reason to cease.

And they can still get the perks again by paying again

I've noticed many Skytitans who really want to rank up to Donor400; even I have wanted to become Donor400 for a while but can't as it's not obtainable.
I do like this idea of a new rank that you can only buy if you're Skytitan/Donor400. I like the special perks you'll get with it and the new rank you get, Support!

 

That will not change. It hasn’t on other servers either. There will always be the existing permanent ranks.

Not really, no. Unless you do drop trades on unlocked islands or drop tools on unlocked islands and some skytitan find out magically then your trades will likely be safe. It is common sense to not announce your trades in public chat and lock your island while trading anyhow.

You can force disable vanish while in the arena just like god mode and any command you wish.

 

I think you are looking at it as a personal thing.
Your prefix will change but most skytitans won't mind because they don't have a prefix they want to keep from classic.
You might have /kit spawner but not all skytitans do.
So if you don't find value in the rank, that is a personal choice. Others may want the extra perks. Things may not always favour you but it doesn't make them useful for others. It isn't just about your situation, but for others as well.
