Okay, not trying to be crappy here, so please take what I say with a grain of salt.
    This is just my opinion.

But why on earth did we just promote so many new mods?
(Congratulations to those people, by the way.)
But seriously, our server rarely has more than 100 people on it at any given time. I don't see why it's necessary to have such a large staff team. I honestly rarely see half of the staff online more than once a week, if I ever really see them at all. And I run all kinds of crazy hours, so I've had exposure to most every time zone.

Why not whittle down the staff to have less people who can be online more, rather than a million people with perms who only show up an hour or two a week?
It just seems a bit unnecessary.

Feel free to agree or disagree, just voicing my opinion, not that anyone cares. :)

Time-zones impact a lot. There were only 2 UK staff members (now 3) and I believe a few AUS moderators. It's better to have more then less.

The promoted staff members are good. Especially Doighhhh with his timezone. Whenever I come online (after school) there are no mods on, neither in the morning for me... Good choice Cypriot

As Wolfie and Doigh have said, timezones impact this massively. When you are online there may be many mods, but for other like me and Wolfie there are almost no moderators online. Not to mention, all those that got promoted were perfect candidates and fully deserved their promotions.

The more Moderators the better it is for the community.

Everything else about your thread has been stated by other players.

I'm not saying the promotions aren't deserved. Most of those players I'd back 100%.
Doigh, you know that. And Talia, and whoever else.
I'm aware that time zones make a difference, I just still feel like the staff team is getting to be a bit large, and some of the mods are a bit underperforming.
But, again, just my perspective. I'm well aware that I have the unpopular opinion here.

The recently promoted mods were promoted last night so they haven't been able to get online due to school and such.

I don't know about all of them. I feel like some new mods may have a rough time. I only know of one of the mods that I know will be great. I agree, the increase in mod promotions is ridiculous.. the server rarely has 100, and the most I have ever seen in my time is 200. I don't bother much about complaining anymore though. Cyp made his choice, it's all up to him. Though if I were in his position as owner of this server, I wouldn't have promoted them, bc in my op there is no need for more mods.

    First off, it's 5.
Secondly, I was referring to the staff team as a whole being "so many", not just this particular round of promotions.

Exstatisfy. They already had forum mod, but it says on Cyp's twitter they got promoted to in-game mod as well.

Doesn't really count as they're technically an admin

Normally people say "Less is more", but I'm kind of seeing this as "More is less" now.
