So here is the deal. I noticed that mobs had been added back in /settings. Before I begin to work on any grinders, I ask multiple mods if the spawn rates of mobs are decreased, or if they are like normal survival. All 3 that I asked confirmed that the spawn rates were just like vanilla survival. I test the grinder in a single player survival world to make sure I don't blow 64 grass for nothing. It works extremely well! So finally I got started working on this grinder, buying all the materials, with confirmation from mods that it will work. I turned on mob spawning in /settings, created this massive grinder, and waited. and waited and waited. A few mobs fall here and there, but the natural spawn rate seems to be much lower in skyblock.net. Is there a reason for this or is it a bug? I understand if it is to encourage people to buy spawners, but it would have been nice to have the decreased spawn rate stated somewhere, so I didn't waste so much grass and time at an ineffective grinder. Thank you, Rockstar510
Shouldn't this thread belong in help or maybe suggestions?? Tagging a mod who may be able to know the answer to your problem. Leeeroieee Myrmidous fungamer333 Kerahna
Probably. I didn't really know where to put it, so I just dropped it here. Gamzee24 Thank you by the way.
Well this is weird cause there are areas where a small amount of mobs spawn and other areas where huge amount of mobs spawn. Beside some players have to wait for long for mobs to spawn naturally which is annoying. Hopefully maybe Leeeroieee can help you with this.
Its most likely because the mob stacking. That means thet there spawn tonns of mobs, but they dont fall into your gathering area.
are you staying within 7 chunks? that is the distance ive been told that is active around your character. yet still have to be far enough away for them to spawn.
I see were you are going with that W4ste_Gam3r . I have a pulsating water dispenser at each level that should drop all the mobs, but that may be an issue. nateasham Yes, I made an observing platform at about 3 chunks away.
