I have came up with an idea for a mini game. I was never able to bring it to pass because I didn't have enough knowledge of command blocks or bukkit to make it work at the time. However, here goes. The mini game consist of 4 or more islands. The islands are identical. There is a waiting arena to start the game similar to that of like a laser tag. You wait there until you have enough players. I have figured the teleport system to the islands out. You have a pressure plate system that only works when all plates are pressed at the same time. Also you have it set up where people can't drop items on them to activate them. So, once they are pressed the server using command block administrates the teleport feature on all those who are in the area standing on the block, teleporting to their individual and identical islands. This would be a game that must be changed often as people who have previously played would have a clear advantage. That being said, the goal is simple. You start on an island with little to nothing. In the middle of the 4 islands is a treasure chest surrounded by Obsidian. Clearly you're going to need a diamond pickaxe. When you die you are out and even the last person isn't guaranteed to win, because natural mob spawning will occur under the right conditions and you can still die. So your goal is simple, survive the pvp onslaught and make it to the middle, mine through the obsidian and get what's inside the chest. The part I never could figure out is how to make the islands rollback without a moderator on. Other than that's it's pretty much able to run on it's own if you can figure that piece out. It's been like 8 years since I thought of this, so tools are probabally much more advanced now. One final thought to consider if it still works. You used to be able to mine obsidian with iron pickaxe but it literally took forever, anything other than diamond or iron breaks it and if people see you hacking away with an iron pickaxe you're probabally getting shot with an arrow lol. Hope you make this, the pvp battle of the Obsidian Islands will be epic!
No offence but this is more or less skywars with a slight bit of chaning (obsidian etc) you still want to reach the centre island to get the good stuff and fight players for the winning spot
