Local chat for .net

A lot of people don't know how to msg, so it would be useful for players to have /chat so they can talk on their island of in global chat. Moderators will be able to monitor both.

Neutral. On ORG non donors can colour chat with it and bypass swearing.

Just curious how mods would see it. If the chats were mixed together, they wouldn't know how to answer a question. Is there going to be like a symbol telling you the chat or is it going to be seen with a command (social spy or a new one).

 

We can always fix that bug if needed.

There will be a server announcement like the voting one

Yeah, on the old org, there was a [L] for local and a [G] for global, so moderators will be able to decipher between those two that way

Since you might want to only talk with your friend and not get spammed with bannershop ads.

 

We used to have this on .net a long time ago. Was indeed very useful. The plugin that we used, however, became outdated with an update. Would be nice to have again.
Most chat channels make channel reading permissions configurable, so this shouldn't be a problem.

I'd definitely like to see this on .net again.

 

/g is a good idea other servers do it so when your advertising or talking to everyone /g when your not using that just use chat normally.

 

I really like this idea since it can also prevent lots of the spam needed in the global chat.
The down side is people can start to spam, swear, etc. while other people in global don't know since it's private island chat. This is also a good idea since other players can't see what you are saying, but only your coop players can. I really like this idea and hope it can make it's way back to the skyblock community.
