Why do you think you should be a mod?
Technical skills
I am a competent java programmer (programmerish) and have significant computer knowledge to keep my computer running. I will be able to do my work when needed because my computer will be running. I know enough about the server and its plugins to offer help.
Key attributes

• Observant. I am always on the look out for people who are doing the wrong thing, but also looking out for those who need help.

• Generous: out of my own minecraft belongings i give to people. Not just saplings, but iron and gold. Not only am i generous with gifts, but with time. I dont rush through helping someone.

• Caring and understanding (I understand those on a lower level because I have been there) and I never favor people I know, or be bias to donors. I like a fair environment, where everyone who does the right thing is rewarded, and those who dont, no matter who they are, are punished.

• listening: I take the time to listen to people and take in their problems so I don't rush in and make mistakes.

• Honesty: If I make a mistake, I will not blame others, and i dont lie. I even give back things people have dropped, even if they do not ask. I can also be honest with myself, and if I do something then reflect back and I did not agree, then I will rectify it.

• Patience: I have been told many times I deal with difficult people without sounding annoyed or angry quickly. It takes a while for someone to anger me and while ome mods get annoyed and show it, I do not openly show annoyance.

• Communication: I tend to not make typos, and if i do its still understandable to what my point is. As a Mod, I will be able to communicate effectively, and be able to explain things in detail, or be able to simplify my instructions for younger players.

• Responsibility: I understand the huge responsibility mods are given. I am the type of person who can be given this responsibility and never let you down. I will be able to keep up with taking evidence, answering reports, in-game moderating and even moderating the forums.

• Reliable: The biggest reason why I should be a mod is I am reliable, in both my nature, and hardware wise as well. People will be able to rely on me and I will never disappoint people who look to me for help (and if they feel disappointed its because i physically would not have been able to do something due to insufficient permissions etc).

• I also am regular on the forums: I have sufficient ratings to prove I am a regular ,repected member on these forums (all rating given after the website issue). I have experience moderating forums as my t-mod job allows me to. I balance forums with server time and I am happy I have accomplished this. For you Cyp and Crew, this means swift responses to reports, answered ban appeals and scanning threads for inappropriate content, content that needs to be locked, and appropriate moving of threads.

• Respect: I am respectful to all players, even if i do not recieve respect back. I respect mods and their authority, but i am not against letting the community and other mods know if a staff member is abusing their power.
• Kindness: i am kind to everyone who can show the same kind of respect. I will help if I can, and give items if I can and try to answer everyone.

• Knowledgeable: I have a wide range of minecraft knowledge i can share, as well as specific server knowledge. This is essential in helping the server run

• Helpful: I help new members get started, help donors build, try and assist in serious rule breeches and even try to help people who have broken rules to admit to what they did and hopefully receive amnesty. I always try to help others make a better mod application and always try to help people on the server chat.

• Trustworthy: if ever you need the number one reason to accept me as a mod, its because. I follow the rules and i will never let anyone down. I've been left alone on islands, and i've been thrown rares and have given them back. Not only trustworthy on the server as a player, but in a team situation you can trust me to do the right thing and work hard.

• Good judgement: I always carry very good judgement when determining the right cause of action. second chances are something i believe should be earned, i understand how being new is hard and the rules are sometimes hard to follow and know when someone is genuine or not. I am strict but fair, and you can count on me to make the right call with minimal mistakes.

• Mature: being 18 doesn't make a person mature automatically, but for me im one of the most mature people on the server, plus I also know how to have fun and act like a 13 year old if i want (no offense if your 13 ). Thats exactly how i can communicate with younger members. I have a sister, I've looked after her, I communicate to her and shes younger than me. I can be a great mod for my maturity.

• Friendly: Anyone who messages me, i get back to them. It could be for chat or for an assist, and sometimes some people want items and i just give it away. Sometimes i cant answer privately and i honest say why, but thats as a player. As a mod i would very much answer urgent messages first. I never abuse people, even for a joke, and i dont put people down. I tend to never call people noobs in a negative way. I can joke about myself and dont get sensitive when someone calls me a name.

Bonus things that would make me and awesome mod

Overall, I am very qualified to be a Mod (see experience), and people should feel like they can trust i will do a very good job. I genuinely want to help people and continue to do so without the Mod position.

I have witnessed griefing, and bridging. I have heard the stories about scammers. I see the chat spammed with swearing, advertising and more! And i know i want to kick and ban them myself, but of course i cannot. My attentive eye have picked up swearing the online mods couldnt see, even though were chatting themselves. I dont find reporting on the forums my main point of interest but when i see an issue, i do take evidence and report it. I want to be in on the action and deal before the problems become big ones! hands on is the way i work. of course i will attend the forums on a regular basis as part of the job. I understand as well the fact that mod work is not only about banning. It is also about making sure that people are knowledgeable on the rules, making sure people are comfortable and having a good times, so eventually they will think about being long time members. The serious side to the work is the things that attract me most. This is what would make me the best mod. I have no idea if i've said this before, but im not all about the banning and kicking of members, but want to help educate them. I know how to judge the severity of the issues and will be able to act justly.

I am the quiet achiever. I dont brag about my accomplishments or the fact i helped people. You dont here these stories on the server because many of the people i helped are new players who left because i couldnt help them the was a mod could, or busy having a successful skyblock because i

Abuse of power? no way will i ever use mod privileges for EEEEVVVVIIIIILLLL! im not looking for a fancy title, im volunteering my own time to be a helpful, caring and observant mod who is keeping the server free from crime, not contributing to it.

Being an active player is important to me (Cyp, I am mostly asleep when you come on so im sorry you never see me work my magic ) and i will remain active when taking a mod role, and not be inactive often, due to commitments such as school.
End comments
I believe I have the perfect characteristics for being a mod, and I dont say this to be stuck up. I say this as a member of the community who is always standing back and watching things unfold. I have learned a lot from a certain moderator who is older and I feel like if he can make a difference to the community in the way he can communicate and do his work, then I can make that same difference too. I know, having worked closely with another moderator in my own mod job that I have the potential to learn from those who are younger than me, and I have learned to accept those who are younger can have as much wisdom as I do. I would love to be a member of staff and prove that I can do more, I can be the responsible one and I can try my hardest to make a change to the skyblock environment. I am always up for helping no matter what, I love to give advice and take the pressure of others. I am used to negativity against me and have a thick skin.

How long can you be active on the server everyday? Even if I am snowed under with assignments, you can bet I will be on the server for half the day. including at 6pm-9pm, my time when no mods are usually awake or around. I have read so many cries for help at this time, and no mod could help, so this is where I am very useful Short answer, there is a time when no mods are online, and I am always on at that time. Available everyday! either on the server itself or assisting through minechat on the go!

Tuesday: Depends on Uni (at least 1-2 hours online, can be more)

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I am a full mod on (server name witheld otherwise advertising
I have moderated a small server of no more than 50, but it was for a day or two to help the server owner. It was a small server which didnt survive
I have also hosted many local servers and am a developer on a friends server with access to most of the important moderating tools from Minecraft to essentials, to logblock. I have played around with commands and modification as well. I know commands of mods on skyblock but as a computer whiz, and competent in java, figuring out mod commands i may not know will be a breeze.
Will people like me?
Im not online to be liked or disliked. Im a regular player who wants to be peaceful with all members. I am sure many people have told me I should be mod, and this is why i applied. They obviously have faith in my abilities which i dont take lightly. Im deeply honored. I will be liked as a mod by the non rule breakers
What will i do for the server?
I want to be the best mod i can be, keeping the server clean and a nice place for all. I like to suggest changes, I like to keep in the loop, I want to make the server a better place for all
