Your in-game name: Kmxify What time zone are you in? Eastern Standard Time (UTC−05:00) What country do you live in? United States *eagle screech off in the distance* What languages do you speak? Primarily English; however, I have a little knowledge in speaking Spanish + French. Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes Sergeant! Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc)? Of course I do. Why do you think you should become a mod? Honest: As everyone says, honesty is the best policy, and moderating on a Minecraft server is no different. You have got to be honest to everyone. Doing so is how you let players know that they can trust you. I have always believed in being honest, even if someone doesn’t like to hear the truth. Being a dishonest moderator is not something anyone likes to see, but rarely do you ever see that. In my past experience in moderating, honesty was the number one component that I used, and if given the opportunity to be able to moderate on this server again, I promise I won’t let anyone down. Friendly: Whenever I think of this server, I always think about the people who helped me out with materials or just advice when I first started playing. I remember always being able to type in chat and ask if anyone had any cobblestone, and sure enough, someone was always friendly enough to give me some. That’s really what got me hooked on to this server, the people and how friendly the majority of them were. I want to be that friendly first impression to anyone else who decides to try out this server. : ) Helpful: This also hooks into the friendly trait. I always enjoy the positive feeling whenever I help someone out, and thus, it makes me help out people more and more. I remember first starting out on this amazing server I found, and I had questions about everything. The moderators were always so, so helpful and never made me feel stupid about anything I asked. I want to be able to make someone else feel as good as I felt, while giving them helpful information. If I’m given this position, I promise to fulfill this. Aware/Sensitive: I know how to properly handle and extinguish arguments when they arise. I understand when someone has had a bad day, as I’m sure everyone can relate to going to a coping mechanism when everything seems to be awry. Everyone reacts to certain things differently, and I am well aware of that. I am very sensitive to others’ feelings and how they react to situations. Mature: Maturity comes with age, but with the cards I’ve been dealt and the life I’ve been forced to live, I have had to grow up and mature a lot faster than most kids have. I understand that taking in this job means I have to be mature when I need to be, and I’m willing to take on this responsibility if given another chance to moderate. Motivated/Hard-Working: When I start on a project, I don’t stop until it’s done. I’ve always been super motivated and willing to do stuff when a problem arises. I can compare this willingness and motivation to drawing. As an artist, when I start on a project, I usually am not one to stop until it’s finished. As many people, I need a break sometimes, but it won’t be long until I’m back working on said project. I feel like I can relate to this trait on a moderating level, as when I did moderate, I always did stuff until everything was done. Not only do I get it done, but I always, always try my best to put all of my potential into finishing the job correctly and fully the first time. Experienced: As most of you probably already know, I’ve moderated on this server before. I had my reasons as to why I left, which I will explain at the end of my application. Being experienced, I know how the forums run, and how to go about certain procedures in-game. Because of this, and this isn’t to sound cocky, but I feel like this could really help my chances of being promoted back on to the team. How long can you be active on the server every day? I've just recently graduated, so I've got a lot of free time, so I should be able to put in a good two to seven hours a day! How long have you been playing Skyblock? Oh heck, for as long as I've had Minecraft, + that's been about 4ish years? Have you ever been banned in the past (Forums & In-game)? I've never been rightfully banned, per say, there was a mistake when my IGN was MiniModKm + MiniModMiranda was to be banned but I was instead. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? As stated above, I moderated on net for a year or two, so I've got quite the experience. Do you meet the requirements for staff? Of course. Alright guys, here's where it gets kind of personal, so please, just hear me out. The reason I resigned was because I was putting moderating before my schooling and my health, so I needed to get away to focus on those things. I’ve graduated, so I have nothing to worry about in that aspect, and my health has significantly increased since the last time I was active on the server. Not only that, but I also found that I wasn't putting in 100% on my moderating like I had been when I first started. I figured that if I wasn't putting in my full potential, I didn't deserve to be moderating. That's basically how it all went down. I've gotten the spark back to moderate and enjoy doing it again, so I really hope you guys give me another chance, because I'd love to continue moderating as long as you guys want me and let me. Thanks for taking the time to read my application. : ) Love y'all.
Hi there Km! Must admit, I had no idea who you are, nor did I know you were a moderator. Sorry about that, I will amend my lack of knowledge as soon as I can. ^-^ On the application: Lovely formatting. I'm not so sure on how dark orange and dark green work together, but if that's your theme, go for it. I appreciate the subtlety with which you've used colours that highlight the titles. You've answered all the questions quite well. I've never been much of a fan of the trait subtitles in moderator applications (friendly, mature, all that jazz), but it's really up to you. Personally, I find your application a little bit generic. Perhaps you could add some aspects of yourself that make you unique from all the other applicants: what specifically are you bringing to the team? Add more details and life experiences that have proven you display these qualities - argue for your position. Not everyone memorises time zones. If you could include the UTC/GMT of this (par example, mine is +9:30), it would be greatly appreciated. I guess that depends on how you measure time, but in earth time, you were a moderator for 10 months. Not a year and certainly not two. Also, just a note, don't spend 7 hours a day on the server. You might have a lot of free time, but you'll burn yourself out and your interest and tolerence of Skyblock may waver. Space it out. Besides, there are a lot of useful things you could do with your time other than Skyblock - these are the longest holidays you'll probably ever get until you're 60 years old; don't waste them. On the applicant: As I said in the preface of this feedback, I don't really know you very well. I'm sorry that this is the case; as someone who has a similar education and Skyblock history to me, I'd love to get to know you a bit better over time. But, for the moment, I have very little I know about you other than what you and others have said. If you were promoted and on the team for a fair while, that indicates you must have been at least half-decent. So, in terms of your personality, you appear to be suited for moderator. You resigned 4ish months ago, right? That's not very long ago. However, as someone soon to go through their final high school exams *shiver* I totally understand why you would have resigned. The pressure of feeling as if you might be demoted, or that you're letting down the team by being inactive during your final school days is a lot to handle, and something you really don't need at that time. Now that you're out of school, I don't beleive your reason for resignation will be a problem, and so this will not affect my support. On that topic, what're you planning on doing next? I don't understand the American education system, but are you planning on going to 'college' or whatever it's called there? This isn't really relevent, I'm just curious. Finally, activity. I've seen you online before, and it's entirely possible that you've only become active recently, but I don't see you online super often. I do get online when other Americans are online, so it's not timezones. I'm sure if you're really looking to become mod you'll get active though, so I'm not too concerned. I think, overall, that's a support. You seem to be competent and I'm always happy to see an experienced member return to the team, so long as they're willing to continue to learn. Good luck!
Hey, thanks so much! Was it really 10 months? I didn't really keep track, but it certainly felt like a long time. I'm aware 7 hours is a lot, but that's how I moderated before I resigned, and it worked pretty well for me. I don't do much, but thank you for the advice. As for the time zone, I will certainly update that! Thank you so much for the feedback!
support because you were a great moderator, just please be a bit more active. id imagine you immediately applied after coming back, so activity still applies
i cancel the feedback,if i see him doing osmething goood until next week i will give support wait no,support to kmmmm
You definitely were a good mod, no doubt about that, but I don't see you enough currently to support you. Neutral until I see you online a bit more. Good luck!
Neutral. Why you may ask? Let me answer you with a question: Where have you been for the past few months? I have seen absolutely no activity by you in ages, and your only most recent one is this.
Neutral. You butt in private conversations with social spy too much. Also don't see you helping out in chat.
Neutral You were a good moderator, you've just appeared in the last few days though. I haven't seen you much, and I haven't seen you helping.
Hey guys, thanks so much for the feedback. I have only just recently became fully active again. For the last few weeks, I had been getting online to help out for a good 30 minutes to an hour every couple of days, well just because life happened and I was off frolicking and adulting. I will admit I haven't been very active the last few months, as I explained, I was off finishing school, doing exams, whatnot. So that's where I've been. Since I'm being a bit more active, I'm sure you guys will see me around a bit more, so hopefully I can persuade y'all through my actions to change all of these neutrals to supports. Once again, thank you guys so much for the feedback, means a ton. : ) Thank you for the constructive criticism, means a lot. I'll definitely be working on sorting those few things out. : )
I don't have anything against you KM, I'm just wanting to see you more active. xD Frolicking and adulting? I don't think I want to know what that looks like, nor do I think those two can happen simultaneously. Either way, I am happy to see you back mate I would love to see you be more active so I can support. Good luck.
A little bit too early don't you think c:? You just came back from a long break and I don't see you assisting however you were an amazing Moderator. Neutral leaning to support.
