Before I start I would just like to just say a few things about me. My name is Joe and I’m 15 years old. I joined skyblock.net just over four months ago. I joined Hellblock about a month and a half ago and I absolutely love it. I have been aspiring to become a mod ever since my second week on skyblock.net. Please provide any criticism you might have in the comments below.

4. Have you ever been banned?(if yes, why?)
I have been banned on Hellblock once for a false advert. Someone was looking for a screen recorder in chat, and I suggested an option. The suggestion I gave in chat looked like an IP to a server. You can read my appeal here: [Joecobo] Advert [Malfoy] | Skyblock Forums

5. Why do you think you should be a mod?
I’m a very fun loving person who loves to help others. I am always making jokes and having fun with some of my friends on Hellblock, but if I see someone asking for help in chat I will drop what I’m doing and go help the player. I love to inform the player about the special nether tools and armor available to craft, and help the player in as many ways as I can.

Whenever I see someone in chat spamming/cursing (and a mod isn’t online) I give a warning, and if the player refuses to stop I report the player on the forums. Until a mod comes online or the situation is dealt with through the forums the player may keep spamming/cursing for another 15-20 minutes. As a regular player I cannot help with the issue of griefing. Even though it is not a common occurrence, I want to help those who have been griefed, and refund the player their items.

In my opinion, Hellblock needs more mods. Cissa is the only mod that is regularly on for extended periods of time in the US and Canada Timezone. With Cissa Currently on vacation, Hellblock does not have a moderator on for the majority of day in my timezone. I feel that more and more advertisers and spambots are coming to Hellblock everyday. Just recently, about 8 people came from another server and spammed their server ip in the chat. I took quick action and asked about 3 Hellblock mods to get on the server. Kato got their first and it still took him about 10-15 minutes. If we had another Mod in the US and Canada timezone I feel that these threats could be dealt with more quickly and efficient.

Helping in-game is just half of being a moderator. The other half is helping on the forums. Along with many others I am addicted to the forums. Unless I am sleeping, I’m never away from the forums for more than 2 hours at a time. I often find myself in the appeals section of the forums, and I want to comment on the situation, or tag the banning moderator, which I am not allowed to do.

Lastly, I have a rock hard personality. People often say rude and disrespectful things in chat, and I never let these people get to me. I’ll just put it this way; mods have to deal with a lot of crap in-game and on the forums that they shouldn’t have to deal with. No matter mean or rude someone will be I will not crack under the pressure.
6. How long can you be active on the server every day?
During the summer I can be active for 4-5 hours a day on the weekdays and up to 7 hours a day on the weekends. Once the school year starts I can only be on Hellblock for about 1-2 hours on the weekdays plus another 1-2 hours on Minechat.
7. Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
I have basic moderating experience on one of my friends small servers. I have recently been training myself how to use CoreProtect, and I can now perform rollbacks on a practice server I set up.
