Basically above. Everything can be worth diamonds. Usually the less rare the item is the more of it is needed to cost 1 diamond (eg Stone/logs/cobble). The trade thread is just a rough guide on someones opinion on what the prices are. The prices in that thread will vary depending on your needs.
