I have recently made my whole island to its maximin capacity. Is it suppose to be 99x99? Also the left side blocks going from the bedrock (bedrock not included) are 48 blocks, whilst the left side is 50 blocks, is that right?
you need to /trust yourself to get the maximum space and correct the island protection. It is a little bug I would call it but not major.
It is supposed to be 49 blocks from bedrock, but in your case, it equals out. Yes, it is supposed to be 99x99
