how much can you extend before getting cut off? I mean obviously you can continue to build.. but what happenes if I'm too close to another island? and that island has a new member?

there is a limit of 49 in each direction from your bedrock, (so 100x100) going past that is considered bridging

i counted and I'm definitely over on a couple sides from the bedrock.. and the other two I'm dead on the 49th block lol… Sucks because I have 2 fully built homes that would be out of bounds, and half of another. THere is no way I can request to just keep it like this without penalty??

Hit F3, move to one edge of your construct, remember the coordinate, move to the other edge, and subtract the coordinates to figure out the block differences.

Have you tried holding the Fn key before pressing F3?

    Edit:

I see from your other thread that the above combination doesn't work. Have you tried going into the controls in Minecraft? I don't recall if the debug console is bound to F3, but it's worth looking into, perhaps you can change it to another keystroke.

Or perhaps going into your keyboard settings like suggested below.

Also, if you don't move those houses, a /newisland replace could delete them at any time.
