Hello!

I own an island and my friend is in my coop. I want to leave my coop/island and join someone else's coop/island. If I leave my current coop, will the coop party leadership pass to my friend? Or will it disband the coop and delete the island?

It will be passed to your coop

 

When you leave your island and theres someone in your coop then that person will become the leader.
