Island Competitions

Introduction​

Hello, I'm Elmo. I have come up with a contest that happens every week, and the winner will get a $25 upgrade. Think your island is good enough to win? Feel free to sign up!

Rules & how it will work​

Anyone is allowed and welcome to enter. All you really need is an island that you think can compete against the best looking islands on Skyblock. Please try and keep it as your own island and not an island that you helped someone build. If you enter someone else's island, please provide screenshots of the island owner giving you permission to use that island to enter the competition.

$25 donors and above are still allowed to enter, and will be getting the upgrade, just not for the $25 donor package. If you are a $25 donor you can either get the $50 donor package, or chose between pets or kits that will add up to the limit of $25 on Buycraft.

Once you win, you cannot win again. An exception is if you have an alternate account that has a separate island. However you cannot win twice for the same island.

How will it work? Every Wednesday this thread will be locked by a mod, and I'll start visiting the islands that have been entered. I will choose the top three islands that I like the best for that week, then have a random mod for that week choose which island they like the best from the top three islands. Your island will be judged off of:

The deadline to to join the competition will be every Wednesday. Giving the selected mods time to go through and rate every island. Each Friday one lucky island will get chosen as the winner and I'll message you on forums about what you'd like to have.

Congraulations to BunningSnag for winning last week's island competition. All the islands that were judged were very good, but sadly there can only be one winner! If any of you would like to reenter the competition for this week, just edit your forums post for the last week and add "Week#2" underneath your format so this thread will be easier to manage. Thanks again for everyone that entered the competition for last week! Also some of the island couldn't be judged as well, so please if you do re enter the competition, make sure to /unlock your island so that the judges can visit you if you're offline.

 

Congratulations to Strommaniac for winning Week#2 and Ecstasy for winning Week#3. Pm what you'd like from the Buycraft store. Thanks to everyone who entered these weeks, and sorry for the late responses, been busy with work. If anyone would like to enter Week#4 just edit your post you have already and add it underneath the format.

 

What do you mean spend $150 on a donor400? In no way does $25 equate to $150?? Also the island competition is opened to donors and nondonors alike, there is no limit to what rank you are on the server. Just because you're a donor 400, doesn't mean you can't choose to get pets that you don't own or even kits if they are within the $25 limit (Doesn't apply for 400's cause they have all kits, unless you want cobble.) And besides, they still have the option instead of using the $25 on themselves, they can choose to get a friend upgraded.

 

Congrulations to Krissy for winning week#4. Sorry for the delay this week, completely forgot about the competition due to work and sleep. There was also still about 7 islands locked that entered, please make sure to /unlock your island so that it can be judged if you want to get a score from the judges, who knows, maybe your island would have been chosen the winner if it was unlocked so please be sure to have it unlocked for the next week. For anyone who wants to enter week#5, just add Week#5 under their format for the competition.
