Is there any way you can have a constant source of exp without being there?
Examples-
wolves
iron golems

I just want to know if wolves and iron golems work and if you can get them

 

Wolves which are tamed can drop exp when they kill a mob. Wolves (tamed or wild) automatically target skeletons but only tamed wolves will drop exp on a kill which can be picked up by a player. Tamed wolves will only target a different mob if the "owner" of the wolf hits the desired mob. Iron golems do not drop exp on kills.

If you were to make an auto farm using tamed wolves for skeletons or zombies be aware that some skeletons or zombies may spawn with enchanted armor which may or may not have thorns on it which may cause the tamed wolves to take damage. To get around this I would recommend feeding them to heal them frequently or set up a redstone contraption that splashes the wolves with healing potions at regular intervals.

what otter said is super helpful, and you can either afk on ur own island with killaura like what lw mentioned

other than that i don't really see anyway for you to get a 'constant source of xp'

however i would say that a great way to gain xp is to go to the nether and just mine quartz as it gives you a lot of xp. as long as you don't accidentally fall (be super careful) and provoke any pigmen (so don't hit them) you'd be fine in the nether.

how do you get wolves?

 

You can purchase a spawner from TradeShops or Haberson then ask a ranked player to change your spawner to wolf, via the /spawner command~

 

go to /warp passive
