So I just cured 2 zombie villagers and was wondering if creating an iron golem farm is possible on the Economy server or if iron golems were disabled to keep iron from being farmable.
Not that but it just wouldn't make sense to farm iron cause you'd need lots of golems and a lot of "buildings" that would make villagers spawn (I think not exactly sure) and once you got the villagers it takes a while for an iron golem to spawn and when they do die it's 1-2 iron which is a massive loss in profit
Don't quote me on this, because I'm a 1.7/1.8 guy, but "buildings" are counted as doors with a roof. So a ring of doors around a specially designed basin makes "houses" that allow the villagers/golems to spawn.
How is a one off payment of a bit of wood (for doors) in return for infinite iron a "loss in profit"?
the loss in profit I mean is the iron you spent on making golems I believe, not sure since it's been a while I played single player anyways, on a skyblock server it just wouldn't make sense to have an iron golem farm cause you're gonna be wasting a ton of iron
Theyre disabled. They always have been. If you have trivial questions next time round – ask people in the ingame chat, they'll be able to help you much quicker.
You never craft the iron golems to make an iron farm... They spawn naturally due to fake villages being made by doors and villagers
ah Then it can't happen, as you would need a villager spawn egg, which is not available in the server
I agree that iron golem spawning can't happen on this server, but that's not the reason why. Villagers can be obtained without spawn eggs by curing zombie villagers then breeding them
I'm not sure on the exact requirements, but first of all, Iron golem farms are disabled, using spawners and natural methods. Second, You need lots of doors and villagers to get them to start spawning, and due to the fact villagers aren't very reliable on the server, they wouldn't work, I don't think mobs have AI anymore either, so I believe villagers do not breed. And lastly, this section should probably be in the help section next time (Feel free to correct me if I missed something)
