Hello! So just after I updated my iPhone 6 (that I have had for one year) to iOS 10 my phone refuses to connect to my wifi. It will connect to other wifi n But not mine. Now I know that this isn't a wifi issue, because my sisters iPhone 6 will connect perfectly fine as well as the rest of my families. This is a chronic issue seeing as I spend most of my time on my phone for school conv rations etc. If you know a fix for the issue please let me know! Thanks Sincerely, Marcus
Yes. I have factory restored my phone. I have dented network settings. I have tried actually everything.
1. Reset network settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset 2. Turn off wifi networking (doesn't affect connection, just location. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services 3. Do this How to change the DNS server on your iPhone and iPad 4. Turn off wifi-assist 5. Restore iphone as brand new, not from back up If that doesn't help take it in to an apple store or a phone store. Also make sure you are on the lastest firmware 10.1.1
Also if that doesn't work, go to Seetings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. I did this one time because my iPhone also refuses to connect to my wifi. Also, try changing the DNS Server to 4.4.4.4 or 4.4.4.8 (Google's DNS Server)
I have called them, waited up to two hours for someone to answer, and then they tell me its my wifi. I have tried to restore it as brand new, and it says it cant connect to iCloud (Because it cant connect to wifi
It wont show my wifi network, so I cant change the DNS. This isnt a WIFI issue, it is a hardware issue. My sisters and moms phone will connect to the wifi.
Krissy Okay, so it only connects if I put my phone directly to the router. And I factory restored it now. Could it be that inside my phone that the Wifi antenna thingy is lose?
Yes, But they are always weak unless I am right next to them. However mine wont work at all unless im next to it.
