I play on multiple servers, and I quite enjoy pvp. On many faction servers I play on, I am one of the top pvp-ers, and owning/co-owning the top factions. I am not a donor on any of the servers, and yet I am successful. Non-donors should stop moping, and learn how to be succesful, without donating, as you can see is possible. Donors do get an advantage, but that is solely because they chose to help the server out, and the server returned the favor.

Apparently, mojang are known for never getting lawyers involved in anything. This means that if a server doesn't listen to the EULA, all mojang could do would be DDoSing it which is illegal!

I :facepalm::facepalm: At every single one of these threads. Mojang made these rules a long time ago. On august first they said they were going to enforce them. What do you know august first rolled around and they still haven't enforced it.

This was not Mojang's fault and it wasn't the server's fault. Yes you could blame the kid but I blame the parents. It was their fault for not bringing up their kid to have some sort of common sense. Yes I do stupid things sometimes that annoy my parents but they have brought me up to actually fear the consequences. The kid probably thought it would be okay if they spent loads of money because the parents weren't hard enough on them.
I honestly have no idea why the parents are putting Mojang in court when it was 100% their fault. If they actually cared about their money they would either
    • Hide their credit card away from the kid
    • Teach the kid to actually fear the consequences
    • Not let the kid go on the internet (depends how old the kid was)
My parents have always left their credit cards and debit cards out on a desk in their wallets. For years I could of went and paid for everything I wanted, but my parents have trusted me and I know that I would be in so much trouble if I did anything with it. I've never been tempted and my parents have made it so I don't get pocket money so I actually earn the money. Before I got a job I would do anything for 10p or 20p or something. I valued money so much more so I would not dare spend any of my parent's money even 20p as I used to think that it was so much money we would miss out on a meal or something.
Now kids are willing to spend their parent's money on some pixels that appear on a screen. Yes I know I'm a donor but I have paid for it using my hard earned money, not just pocket money/allowance.

I think this is why Mojang are being stricter and it is affecting all those that have paid with hard earned money. Probably because I've been seeing 8-10 year olds getting donor statuses and perks from their parents. But it's not the kid's fault, it's the parents'.
I would have never dreamed of getting something like that as a 8 year old. I used to beg for a Club Penguin membership, that was all I wanted. Finally I got a 1 month one for £3.95 after saving the money that I would find on the floor, money left in arcade machines etc and it was probably the best month of my life.
