I'm losing a donor spawner over THIS?!

    so, I was trying to pick up a spawner with my silk touch pickaxe, wasn't aware clearlag was about to happen.
    my spawner disappeared BETWEEN the 5 second warning and the message saying 319 entities were cleared.
    *wonkie* argues that my video proof shows that my spawner went into the water under a piece of carpet before clearlag got it. I see proof of no such thing ocurring on my video. there's nowhere that shows that spawner went through the carpet. furthermore, he said it's policy that staff can't help me because they don't do refunds on clearlag issues. me and a few of my friends have been searching for this policy, and can find it NOWHERE.
    i have video proof and tried to post the link to it here but it kept me from sending the message because it said it was "spamlike" so if you want the video evidence reach out to me either on this forum or back over on discord where my name there is also mereidmo

    There does not need to be a policy stating we don't refund for clearlag... it is common sense. Just like how the government doesn't refund you if you lose your wallet.

    In most cases, the only refunds we can do are when someone steals from someone else, then we can track the items down and take them back. If they are destroyed, there is no way to trace them. If you have a clear video of this and would like another staff member to review it, feel free to post it here. We might be able to help, but there are no guarantees.

    After discussion with the staff team we have decided to make a special exception in your case in light of the video you have provided. I hope you understand that this is not to be expected on a regular basis and that ultimately it is your responsibility to watch out for clearlag warnings and ensure the safety of your own items. Making a video recording is good, but even video evidence can be falsified and just because it was accepted this time does not necessarily mean it will be accepted next time. It would be best to not let the item get destroyed in the first place!

    Sorry this happened to you mereidmo. I've updated the server so that spawners on the ground are not removed by ClearLag anymore.
