?

Should a notification pop up in chat very once in a while, informing players of /ignore?

I made a thread before on why I believed that people with inappropriate usernames should be banned from the server. A few days after reading people's comments, I was convinced that it would both be a bit too cruel, and that people's usernames are their own personal business for which we shouldn't interfere with. So, I proposed a new suggestion. This suggestion being, that just as a reminder comes up in chat every once in a while, in which it reminds players to right click obsidian with a bucket, there should also be another reminder where it reminds players to do /ignore [player name] if someone or someone's username is bothering them. I think this would be a helpful addition because people who are being annoyed by another person, would more easily find out about /ignore (if they don't know already). I see this alert sounding something like, "Type '/ignore [player name]' if so someone or someone's username is bothering you!" or, "Is someone or someone's username bothering you? Type '/ignore' and then their name!" Tell me what you think of this below, and/or rate in the poll. It would be greatly appreciated to get some feedback.

I think this is a great idea! There are tons of new minecrafters who know nothing about server commands. If a username was making them uncomfortable, they would probably be grateful for the little reminder. : )

Wonderful suggestion. Sometimes I see names that are very inappropriate.

I'm loving this idea. Even though that, I've still never done /ignore on an another person before.

Justin I agree with you this is a splendid idea because there are very annoying people on the server sometimes so this can solve your issue. Thanks for the idea. Hopefully a mod sees this. AppleGuyPro krissy_punk @kurabuii

Not really a mod thing to decide.
Now I don't agree with this and while in theory it's all great, we can tell people to ignore someone, the person with an offensive username may be a good, friendly person. That's almost as harsh as banning them. And in reality it's just a name, nothing more to it.

Now a much more suitable broadcast is if a player is bothering you, use the /ignore command.
This covers fights, abuse, harassment, offensive names etc
But tbh there is many broadcasts already I don't know how many we can get before chat is spammed. But feel free to every so often, if you notice a fight, say to /ignore

I did once. I had just joined and was testing out commands. I didn't know what it did, and I have no idea who it was. XD

A useful command, one that I think should be added to the broadcast.

You know what else could be handy, an /ignorelist.
Gives a list of who you're ignoring.
I know it isn't in essentials, but it would be soo useful.

You can do /unignore and it will tell you who you are ignoring.

Support! I myself always forget about /ignore. And, it is as simple as adding a line to the config (depending on the plugin's implementation for its broadcasting)! Great idea.

What we really need is for /ignore to cover things like /coop invites and /tpa requests (not so important because only donors can make these requests). But at the moment, someone can still spam you with /coop invites even while ignored.

Only thing is, is that /ignore and /coop belong to two different plugins.
