i was online and people told me that ice was now illegal for being a starting item. but everyone can get silk touch, so everyone can get ice to why is trading ice illegal if everyone can get it endlessly? selling ice would be if people are to lazy or need tons of it on short notice.

 

if this is .org, then its because in 1.7 water dosent freeze in Taiga biomes. and the only way to get ice now is from a new island. therefore its illegal to trade, buy, sell, gift, or donate

Kaffepaus has Podzol, and as far as I'm aware the only way to get it is via island farming so, my guess is that he did or flew around...
