I am trying to make an ice generator, and am wondering hoe to go about it, how can I get water to turn into ice? Does it just have to be above a specific block height? Or could a mod change the biome on my island so that water would freezr to make this possible?

Basically you need to be in one of the biomes where water freezes such as extreme hills, tagia or or icy plains.
You can use unlimited water source to fill an area with water and it will freeze and you get unlimited ice :)
A mod cannot change your biome, only an admin can and the admin does not usually change biomes for people.

You can also keep doing /newisland replace until you get your desired biome. If it won't change your spawn coordinates, you'll have to temporarily join someone else's coop, wait 5 minutes, then leave

Maybe you should just do it like how everyone else does it, and just buy the ice. Once, when I just started Skyblocks, I thought spawning in ice biome was pretty annoying, but I guess that's just me. But other than that, just do what blaq said.
