My friend wants to change her name on the server but shes wondering if she does that will she lose her rank? Shes paid $100 and she doesn't want to lose it.

I'm pretty sure that when you change your name, you loose your island and access to your chests but not your rank.

You keep your island, and everything. Any chest that have your friends name on it with lockette, they will be locked out of that.
