I would like someone to answer my question, that most people wont give me an answer to: Is it legal for somebody to take something from a rares chest, if they are trusted, and their name is on a lockette?
Complicated question, I believe that if it's shared rares chest, then you must set a contract for safety. I guess you can as it won't be considered as stealing.
Looting people without their permission isn't allowed. That would be stealing, which isn't allowed and it follows under the common sense rule. Ask people's permission before taking, it's your best bet.
If you are concerned about a trusted member or co-op member accessing your rares, chest, lock the chest for you only. It's better safe than sorry, and if they want any items from the chest they can ask the island leader or the chest owner. Usually, if there are conflicts withing coops or trust lists involving stealing, mods will tell then to work it out on their own. Only if the case is extreme (for example, a player takes all the items and stashes them away on another island) will moderators usually ban the player or take action. If you want a quote from cyp basically saying what I just said, here. It's rule number one. Also for future reference, it's a good idea to check if a rule you want confirmed is in the rules before asking in the help section. Although I don't suppose it does any harm.
Well if your name is on their lockette to a rares chest, I'm assuming they trust you? You can't take anything from the chest without their permission, but it technically wouldn't be considered "stealing" because you were not only trusted, but they also took the effort to put your name on the lockette.
Personally I would say of course you can. They've given you access to the chest, why else would they do that? If they lost something that they didn't want to then they shouldn't of put your name on in the first place.
