I know, this is generally frowned upon, however it's been over 3 months and I felt I had to at least try...

I have a friend on .Org, I call her Poptart but her IGN is creeperslayer074. I haven't seen her for a while and suspecting the worst, I tried /seen and she is indeed banned at the moment. I know you guys hate the "why is my friend banned" question but it's really worrying me. I have read the thread http://www.skyblock.net/threads/regarding-banned-players.11731/ but I know she can't do this, and I feel though it's not really my business, it's all a good friend can do.

I know that Poptart was banned in the past because of something that occurred when a co op of hers broke a rule, and she was banned along with the co op, though she didn't wittingly break the rules herself. I know about this because there was a sort of ban amnesty when the server moved to 1.8 and she came back all delighted that she was no longer banned (honestly, I've never seen a player so happy) and then she told me about her previous ban. I asked her why she didn't just appeal and she said her computer/firewall whatever blocks the forum, and she can't come on here. I'm just really concerned that the same thing has happened again.. Perhaps she's co-oped with someone who's broken a rule, been banned and can't appeal

I know she must have broken the rules in some way to have been banned again, but I like to think I have a good measure of her personality, and I'm sure she didn't do so on purpose. She is a young player and I know the server meant a lot to her. I'm a bit sad I never got any other contact details for her to be honest but it's generally a bad idea to share personal contact information with internet friends, so the only contact I have with her is .Org so I guess, if she can't be unbanned, I'll probably never see her again and that makes me sad.

Well anyway all I was hoping was that someone would tell me the reason she is banned, and also if it's not something really serious could she perhaps be given an amnesty to return to the server? If I see her again I'll make a point of taking her to warp rules and showing her myself all the things that could get her banned and so that if it happens again, she really can blame no one but herself. I truthfully think that she has either been banned due to the actions of a co op, or has broken a rule without realising it was against the rules, I can't believe she'd knowingly do anything serious >.<

I rather suspect that she took a co op who suggested that they combine forces and who joined her island, bringing with them dirt from their own starter island. She knows island farming is wrong but I think she might not have realised that taking dirt from the co-op's island onto hers would count as such, it is a bit obscure, she's young so she might just not have made the link. I must be honest and say that I didn't realise it was against the rules to take dirt from one island to another when co-oping as I didn't think it counted as island farming, I only learned this was also counted as island farming after playing on the server for a few months. Aaanyway perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, as I don't know the ban reason, I just remember seeing an appeal from another player saying that they had been banned for island farming when they said they hadn't, and it turned out that they'd co oped with someone and taken dirt with them to make a farm, and that was what had gone wrong. (The appealing player was unbanned, I believe. But it's entirely possible the co op was my friend, idk but it was around the time she disappeared... it would make sense that the island owner would also be banned in this scenario.)

Well I hope someone can help anyway. Like I said, I know she can't appeal herself as she can't access the forum on her computer and she's too young to do what I'd do and use someone else's internet to come on and do it. She's a nice girl who I saw on the server a lot and was always friendly to everyone, and cared about .Org a great deal, she said she was saving up her pocket money to try to buy highroller when I last saw her because she hates not having a /nick haha. I know other people's bans aren't my business but she's my friend and I would at least like to try to put a good word in for her. Ok well thank you for reading :cat xxx

 

The amnesty idea could work, I don't know.

 

Ohh thanks guys I hadn't realised that she'd managed to get onto the forums, finally ^^ now I feel a bit stupid. Thanks Kerahna for letting me know. Personally I do find the three day response thing weird but then I'm notoriously bad at checking things, I don't even check my phone that often haha. I don't have any other contact with her although thanks to you, now at least I can message her on here ^^ well if she's managed to gain access to the forum now, this query is moot, she can handle it herself, so thank you and feel free to lock this thread xxx
