So I started to play Skyblock, learned a lot and thought I would start again.

Of course, what happens is you reset your island but all of the early challenges which give you grass blocks and other good stuff have been done already so you can't do them again, which makes progress much harder.

Is there any way to completely reset everything back to when I first started?

You could have it so they have to pay the grass/bal or their equivalent back

I think either:

1. make it clear when you are resetting your island that your challenges are not reset which will make it harder the second time, or
2. allow one reset to allow people to find their way around, make mistakes and then start afresh knowing lots more than they did before, and make it clear it's a one time deal.

Not allowing reset and not telling people that this is the case is a bit unfortunate. Never mind, just harder, not impossible.

 

Unfortunately as lukas suggested, challengees would very too easy to farm rewards from if they could be reset. Some challenges, such as #30 gives a rare skelly skull as a reward. Players could delete their islands to start over just to farm those skulls, which would ruin it for others. The challenges are more just meant to be tutorials and guides on how to start playing skyblock
