So, you want to make a satisfactory application, eh? Well, you came to the right place.
    NOTE:
I will use examples from other applications and replies. Please do not feel offended as that is not my aim.

First of all, most of these question's answer's have to be intricate. Be detailed, but not too complicated and cramped. Good luck~

Ever want to make an awesome application, upgrade/edit your application? Well, here are some tips. Use these tips to make your application better, or make a great one at the start. Just remember, nobody's perfect. I will use questions from the application template and show you tutorials on how you can surprise people with skills. Your skills!

Which languages do you speak? This question is asking if you speak any particular languages other than english, but make sure to put it in. Here is an example from an accepted moderator application:

    EXAMPLE from Love__
English is my main language, but I can also speak Chinese and Vietnamese. I can speak Chinese very well, considering I go to a Chinese immersion school where you would speak Chinese all day. I'm also currently going to a Vietnamese, school every Sunday.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Well, this shouldn't be too hard. If you think being honest about your bans is hard, then just answer truthfully and go on. If you think that expressing your bans, especially if you have none, are fine and you think they are truthful, go ahead and write a whole paragraph on it. Honesty is the best policy, let me show you another example.

    EXAMPLE from ShiningNova06
Yes I have been banned, but that isn't gonna affect my moderating. Yes, I was banned, but only once. I learned from my mistakes and took responsibility for it, it'll never happen ever, again.
    WHAT NOT TO DO!!!!

Say that you haven't ever been banned but have been before/lie to the server. Lying to the server proves you cannot be trustworthy and furthermore your application will be denied. Take responsibility and be proud that you've learned your lesson.
Why do you think you should be a mod? Yes, you are correct. This is one of the paragraph-long questions! But the reason for this is because they want to have detail in why they want to be a moderator and how the server may be beneficial from their reasons. Guess what? You don't have to read through this whole example. You can just see how Krissy does it. She is a successful (super) moderator. She has helped the server in many ways and continues to do it to this day!
    Krissy bb.

Quite simply, I was never done in my service to the skyblock community. Being a moderator was not just a rank on a server but a commitment to the players. Solving the issues, teaching and helping on all server related mediums was the best part of the role.

In this current demotion not once have I expressed a willingness to quit, nor have I stopped being in service to the players or even considered trying to cause any trouble. I stayed and never became abusive or hostile towards the admins or staff as certain mods have in the past following demotion/resignation. Past is past and I am hoping for a second chance.

So every day, just as before, I continue to help out. So why I should be mod again?

    Forum Conduct
I am extremely active on the forums; Assisting in every way I can. I know the forum rules, and how to moderate the forums. Proof of my dedication is below (Helpful threads I have made). Being an experienced member on the forums given my short time here can be seen as more proof of my dedication.
I usually report spambot posts and notice when threads are in the wrong sections faster than most and have a keen eye for ratings abusers. If I am not on the server I am on the forums contributing and trying to moderate it the best I can without perms. I have in the past and a bit more in the present been a little opinionated however that can change due to the balanced stance and unbiased nature of moderating.

    Server Conduct

On the server I am known for being active and helpful. I offer knowledge and advice to players when there are no moderators online to assist as I know exactly the action needing to be taken and how mods would handle a situation to prepare players.

To all people, donor or not I would offer service and treat equal. I have learned over time how to work efficiently and productively with genuine care and kindness. I have learned to deal with a variety of different situations beyond just griefs. I have a fair lot of experience I can use to better the server including advice to mods. I know in the past I have been able to teach the new mods and offer assistance. All the mods I helped are full mod and above. I am not sure the extent of my help but I like to think I have some influence, and have had some nice comments from people who wish to follow my example.

I am sure by now many people realise that I was one of the few active Aussie mods. Im my timezone I was left to moderate 200 people alone. It got chaotic but I was able to handle it.
I do not have school to make my hours less. I can get on and moderate almost any part of the day, on demand. I fill the gap between the american timezone and European timezones. I am very active during these times and I know that when the server goes 5 hours without proper moderation that there is actually a problem.

    General Conduct

I do not have a lot to say, I let my actions speak louder than words. I held this position before, I know what it takes. I do not mind the hard work it takes to get back to where I was before. If that means going back to tmod, I accept that too. In applying I want to gain back trust, I want to improve myself, and most importantly, I want you to know that I won’t let you down again. I know that I am one of the best candidates for a mod position and one who you can trust.

One thing that I can say is that during my time as mod previously I was never in trouble for abusing my commands, never reported, and never needed to be warned. I made mistakes but nothing severe. II wont set out and make more problems for you, players or the server.

I wish to formally apologize for anyone I have hurt from my previous time as mod, especially you Cyp. I said above past is past and I feel that we have put the issue behind us. I have learned a great deal from this, especially going back to being humble. Thank-you :)

I will say this a million times if I have to, but this is my key promise:

I promise to uphold the position with dignity, show the up most respect to authority (In this case I will not fail again) and always do my best to serve the server.

    WHAT NOT TO DO!!
I want to be a mod because I think I can help the server.

This is a short sentence that proves you do not actually want to help the server. Make sure that this question's answer is very intricate.

How long can you be active on the server every day? Everybody has once made a chart or at least said 3-9 hours at least. Many people have made charts or a daily schedule. Most moderators, I believe, have arranged time to play on skyblock. Being active is one of the most important parts of being a moderator. It's not just ring-a-ding-ding, one day job. You need to take this serious. You can't just be working for 20 minutes and spend the rest of the time advertising your banner shop. You need to enforce the rules and help out. How ever it may end up, you need to be active as a minimum of at least 2 hours.

    EXAMPLE from Love__
I am always on skyblock.net everyday. Mostly 3 hours or more straight. I find this as an advantage, because some mods are very busy ,since I see them come on for a few 30 minutes then they have to go, while I will be on straight for 3 hours or more. Maybe less in the school year but on the weekends or on holidays, I will be active for a very long period of time.

-If I'm not in-game I'll be on the forums. But if I am in-game I'll be on the forums as well.

    WHAT NOT TO DO
i might not be on for a while cuz my mum wants me to sleep early.

(This is a non-intricate answer and will not be taken seriously.)

Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Having past experience is a virtue. And yes, it is fine if you have no background experience. But it is best to have some so you are prepared for each kind of reaction you may receive: Disrespect, worship, hatred, etc. But, as long as your excited for the position you will uphold sooner or later, you'll be fine. Even though this may affect your chances, it's okay to have no knowledge of being a moderator.. yet. This is why I'm putting in 2 examples: So you can get an example of how to explain it (In your own words, of course) if you do not have experience. The other example is how to say it if you had experience in the past.
EXAMPLE 1: From Love__; NO BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE
No, I do not have experience in the past for being a moderator. Well, not yet anyway.

See how she is being honest and how she looks forward to earning experience? If you have no prior knowledge of a moderator, try to start out on a smaller server at least. Such as .org! Many moderator applicants have switched to .org because they feel they can't handle becoming a mod in such a large server yet. Others feel they can!
EXAMPLE 2: From PurpleVillager1; BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE
Yes, I do have past experience as a moderator for my brothers sever, which is relatively small, 2 friends servers, and 1 major server. I currently am an admin for a server, And a mod for another. I am familiar with most moderator commands, and with the basic rules of every server, and I think I could figure out commands I don't already know pretty easily. I have memorized a list of all illegal trade items and I have also memorized all the server rules, what to ban someone for, what to kick someone for. Plus, Artie has messed up on bans so many times that I think I know how to do it by now! :)
I have also moderated different forums, channels (twitch) and different games that aren't minecraft, I show maturity in my work, and do it with confidence and dedication.
So total now, I've been a staff member on 5 different servers, and currently am a staff member for 2 servers. It would be an honor to moderate this server and be a part of this incredible staff team.

Notice how having prior knowledge can help you in some ways, like knowing the commands. Knowing /kick, /tempban, etc. can help you throughout your time as a moderator. It also helps you become prepared for whatever is to come from the server.

    TIPS
Think that there couldn't be any more to an application? You were wrong! I'm going to give tips one by one until I've run out of great ideas. Note that these tips are only pieces of advice, and they are optional. Please no hate. If you feel forced about one of them, I will consider eliminating that tip. You can start a conversation with me explaining why you would like this tip to be removed and how you feel negativity with it. :)

    1. Start with a rough draft. You can start an application out with your best, don't leave out details. This is only your first draft, so it's okay if nobody supports. You can read their advice and how it might affect how your image may turn out with the moderator position. Using other's opinions at the start is great, and you can continue to use their advice in every way.
    2. Don't use too much colors. Be considerate of others and how it may hurt their eyes, not too many dark colors or bright colors. Bolding the questions is a great idea, but try to only color them very-dark grey. It may stand out too much.
    3. Be honest in every way you can. If you think that being dishonest, or lying, is OK, you're wrong. It proves to the staff team and the whole server that you are untrustworthy and unworthy of upholding the position of a moderator rank.
    4. If you think that being a donor gives you more chance, it certainly does not. It won't apply and never will.
    5. While you are writing your application, take ideas from accepted applications. Remember to just rephrase them and whatnot, because then it will look like you're copying them.
    6. Logos. Using logos is like an attempt to lengthen your application. Try to put it at the end and not the top, because yeah. You don't want it to look like you're trying to cheat in any way!

Thank you for 2 things; putting my application in the right section, as I was unsure of where to put it. I owe you thanks also for letting me borrow some stuff from your application to use as an example in my guide, and I loved it. So thank you my beautiful, lovely flower. cx

    My Application was made about a month ago, only edited once, for a grammar mistake, and adding the logo on top, so I didn't use any references. c;
