If you're a beginner /daily /vote and /advent are some commands to earn some grass. Down the line you could aim to set up your very own shop like many others have (/warp tradeshop for tutorial!). This way you can sell your items to other players and earn grass, consider chopping trees and sell the wood you get. If you don't know the value of an item you could visit other player's shops (/ads) to get some pricing ideas.
Assuming you are new, you won’t have much of a name for yourself as a supplier so selling will require work in placing an ad in /ads or advertising in chat. Another way is to make use of well known suppliers like Haberson and sell to him. Wander around his shop and see what he’s buying that you can easily provide and start there. Also be sure to vote everyday, use /daily and for the rest of the month, use /advent.
Grinding top voters for skytitan rank and kits is probably better and more optimal for long term gameplay Farm-less passive item gains such as kits are extremely beneficial for gameplay but most of them are locked behind paywall... though voting can technically let you get all of them for free in exchange of time -- Ask youself 2 questions -- why get grass? is it fun? for reference and context, people getting grass mainly for rares (or to invest in something for rares) and it actually drains the fun out of the game very fast IMO and is lowkey an overrated culture from the perspective of resource-managing game There is also lack ways to display rares in public safely other than 3 popular ways which I found hard to make a museum I personally would suggest you to try trading or what other people suggested first and if you don't like it or feel bored of it switch up and take full advantage of voting while supporting server for perks and passive gains plus more freedom between farming grass and personal activities. (building, redstone... etc)
