Introduction
I've noticed a lot of people struggling to make shops since the update. Here is a fully updated guide on the shops and how to make them, plus their features!

Making the Shop
To make the shop, you will need a chest and a sign. Place a sign on the chest and type out [shop]

and press done. Once you do that, the sign will say invalid, but do not worry, as this is okay.
Once you see the sign right click it. This will open up the GUI:

Now, this may look intimidating at first, but it is not.

You can do multiple things from now on, which I will explain now.

Setting Up a Sell Shop
To set up a sell shop, you should right-click the right barrier and follow the instructions that appear in chat. You are able to safely exit the GUI to type in chat when asked. You will be presented with the following instructions:
1. Economy Only: Please specify the trading good, and type (money/item). Once you see this, type item or money, depending on your needs.
2. Please select an item in your inventory by selecting it. Simply click the item you wish to sell.
2.5. Economy Only: If you selected money, it will tell you to type the amount. Just type the amount you want. Commas are not necessary.
3. Please enter the amount in chat. Put the number of items you wish to sell.

Follow the same instructions for the right side, but instead of the item you wish to sell, use the item you'd like to get back.
Do not forget to open your shop using the door once you are done.

Extra Features
There are multiple features along with all of the different shops to set up.

Features in the GUI:
Transaction Notifications: Enabling this will give you a notification when your shop is used.
Hopper Transactions: Enabling this will allow hoppers to move stuff in between two shops, but this must be enabled on both shops.
Access Mode: This feature will let you select who all can open the chests to help restock.
Display Mode: This will change how the item ontop of the shop is displayed.
Open State: This will change if people can buy from your shops or not.

General Features:
There is a command that is /shops find (owned/wanted). You can search for items two ways: Type the item name after the command, or hold an item and send the command in chat. Selecting one of the chests will teleport you to the shop.

Setting up Multiple of The Same Type
If you're setting up multiple shops of the same type, you can start to edit each of the shops (done by right clicking the barrier) and then put the desired amount in chat.

Used this today for creating a shop like this for the first time and it was very useful.

 

updated the guide by reformatting, rewording it, including pictures/better pictures, and economy instructions to make the guide inclusive of both servers. also added how to make a wanted shop.
