As you may have noticed from the title of this thread I will be talking about the hockey world championships. Any of you are familiar with it? Are you a fan of the world championship? If so, who is your favourite contender? And who do you want to win?

I personally root for Slovakia as it is my country, amazing how such a small country like mine can attend such a prestige championship. We have won it a few times(we were the best in the world, isn't that amazing?) & currently are playing against teams like Finland, USA, Canada.

I hope Slovakia wins, however some contenders worth mentioning are Canada, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Czech many other.

My family wants the USA to win because we want to support the home team. But the rest of my family is voting for their home country of Canada. I'm watching both teams now. My NHL Team's Brad Marchand (Canada), David Pastrnak (Czech Republic), and Frank Vatrano (USA) are playing. I will probably just end up watching to see how these guys do.
